Any American light beer.
I saw the worst beer ever thread, and just thought I'd start up the opposite!
Is the best beer the one that tastes best? Is it the best value for money (whilst still tasting reasonable)? Is it a local beer from your area, and your just trying to keep the micro breweries alive?
In any case, my favourite based upon a compromise of value and flavour, is draught bass.
Tribute and Timothy Taylors Landlord are worthy mentions also!
Sierra Nevada Pale Ale
Stayed in Kettlewell for a few days last week (in the Yorkshire Dales) &the local served Timothy Taylors - I agree that the Lanlord is Quality!
I am also a huge fan of Black Sheep too&Find it hard to choose between their Ale, Bitter and Holy
Grail.
Any lager out of a tin. Bleugh.
Desperados
The most awesome beer, I loved it while living in Germany: Schöfferhofer Kristallweizen
Who does the better beer? The English or Germans?
tennants lager![]()
Spanish beer called Estrella, I bought a 4 pack last night to watch the golf and it give me the shivvers, disgusting.
Fosters or Bud 66. I like them.![]()
Fosters.
Chang. I had some in a Thai restaurant last night.
They do a good Shandy in London.
Used to love a Premier.
Bud.
When I was in Thailand years ago there were loads of rumours of the additives in Chang which gave you the fearsom 'Changover'. Not great beer.
I'm going to nominate Tecate. We bought a case of them when in Mexico. We didn't finish them there so took them back home. Months later there were still unopened cans of the foul stuff sat in our fridges. The usual life expectancy of a can of beer back then was very low but this stuff was virtually undrinkable.*
*it did get drunk, its beer after all...
Fosters. Easy.
