I need some new ones. I'm going out somewhere tonight, and I'm counting the minutes until then.

I used to love reading...have done since I was a kid, but the last few years I seem unable to concentrate, I have literally stacks of unread books (that I still keep buying).

I could also do with getting out more...I love the internet, the freedom, the information, the endless stream of media it gives access to, but it sure is easy to get sucked into staying in far more than is healthy.

I`ve had a number of hobbies over the years, from about 16 years old till I was 36 years old I`ve done exercise either boxing or weight training tried to get back into it about 2 years ago achieved some good results over about 8 months then realised I was bored of it. I just started fell walking again after a 10 year lay off from it. I`ve done shooting but sacked it because I started working nights which was when I used to do my shooting. For more relaxing things I do 1/6 scale figure models & gaming on my PS3.

Spending time with my wife, who is also my best friend. Scrabble, Wii, listening to music on the gramophone (we collect these) and building our business.

    Oh, and supporting LFC.

I work in the Heathrow flightpath. You'd have a mental time in my offices!

My hobbies are playing cricket, pike fishing (occassionally), cooking, reading, writing (lyrics, blog, short stories, novel) and drinking Guinness.

The novel is a dark comedy. Started in in 2004, on ice at the moment as I need a long period in which to write it - can't do it in spurts, I've tried and it's a mare.

My short stories are hard to describe as a whole as they're quite different to each other. I might post one on here one day

Haha, maybe if I was still 21. I doubt a short story called "I think I might have done it 3 times last month" would get many readers!!!

Chapter 1 : So after a long day in the office, came home and made some dinner for us. We watched a bit of telly and then went to sleep around 9:30.

    Chapter 2 : Re-read chapter 1.

Dark Comedy, cool. I must admit I haven't read too many of them but I'd be interested in giving them a go. There's a few dark comedies on TV that are always good for a laugh

I agree with you about writing in spurts though, its very difficult. I'm still at the planning stage for my story and have been for about three years. Making sure it makes sense is time consuming!!

That would be good. I love reading so I'd be definitely willing to read it if you decide to post one.
