I just think it's a case of having the fondest memories of someone when they're gone (I don't mean death here) scenario here. People will and rightly so remember those wonderful CL nights Rafa brought us, but lets face it, apart from the last 13 games or so during the 2008-09 season, where Rafa let the team of it's leash to express themselves, our football was absolutely drab at times .
I also felt that Rafa's teams had too much respect for the likes of Stoke, Wigan, et al. which I believe cost us the league in 2008-09.
What a pathetic argument!! Seriously Rafa made us the number one side in Europe....number ONE!!! I wonder what number we are now!

I always **** myself when Rafa's spending is brought into question. Had he had the backing Kenny has recieved we would have players like Silva, Jovetic, Dani Alves and Villa in our team.
This bemuses me...What part of our players failing to find the net had anything to do with Fergie?

Agreed, with the backing Kenny has had i truely believe we would even have Barca+Madrid worried by now aswell.
Such a crying shame, we can only hope the owners see sense and get Rafa back, but i'm worried they will look elsewhere TBH.
