worst statement of the year award regarding henderson

its like skrtel playing as striker cos we have resource issues and then saying skrtel was rubbish at being a centre forward lol

Aye. Really looked like he wanted to cry, especially after all that he's been through. Great to here that he's become a dad again as well

tonight we showed something that has been lacking for most of the season, guts and determination, well done to all the lads out there tonight you showed some heart, pleased for carrol to get the winner now maybe it can kickstart your liverpool career, spearing, shelvey, and bellermy were outstanding , and well done to brad jones, o.k so he made a mistake and gave away the penelty, other than that and after all he has been through in the last few months he deserves a bit of praise. for saturday maxi must play instead of kuyt, bellermy is also a must with suarez dropping off carrol. also if we appeal doni's red card could he not play on saturday?

I'm really proud of the lads tonight they never gave up and won a massive mental battle to win that game, just chuffed to bits.

If Kenny chooses to play Henderson at right-back for 65 minutes why shouldn't I comment on his defending? Two different right-backs and 2 left-backs (if you include Agger playing there) played tonight so I don't see why Henderson had to stay there. Since he did I feel I can comment on how he defended.

It's not a dig, as I said he worked hard but I don't think I have to gloss over anything.

If Kenny played Skrtel up front I would comment on his forward play and rightfully so.

It's say something about some of the patrons we have using this site when it's so slow after a victory. If we had lost the forums would have crashed.

Can anybody tell me who hit the pass to Bellamy out of defense for maxi's first goal. It was a peach of a pass under pressure but I didn't catch who it was.

Do you think they only log in when they see that we are losing or are they lurking here watching everything but staying silent until the next time we go behind?

    It was Skrtel.
I think they want the team they claim to follow to lose, so it proves them right about the manager.

    Positives:

    The result.
    The attitude and commitment.
The manner of the result which should give more confidence than a 6-0 drubbing would. Looked like the most likely team to win it with 10 men, and got an injury time winner despite being pegged back from 2-0.
Henderson, Shelvey, Coates, Maxi, Skrtel and Carroll.
How much that winning goal clearly meant to everyone. Sometimes how much the players care has been called into question - they showed how much it meant to them tonight.

    Negatives:

Can wait for another day as far as I'm concerned.

Sounds silly to say, but winning that game thrilled me more than winning the Carling Cup final!

It would've been so easy for the players to just shrink away and hide when Blackburn got it back to 2-2, especially after the run we've been on, and the way the game had turned so badly against us. But every player in a red shirt shirt put their hands up, took responsibilty, and showed that they would have the character, and the balls to get something from the game.

    Positives:
    Shelvey looking great
    We saved a penalty, finally
Carroll finally won us a game
    Henderson looked great at RB
    Danny Agger is back
Maxi proven why he should be more involved

    Negatives:
    Flano bottled it
    Lost our 2nd choice goalkeeper
Awful marking from a set piece once again
Sat back when we conceded and let them back into the game
    Brad Jones looked nervous
Put unnecessary pressure on ourselves again

Flannagan young expect it when you play so many youngsters form can be tricky.

Carroll was not just the winning goalscorer he gave the best striking performance of any Liverpool player since Torres. He lead the line, he pressed, he won almost every header, was great target for defence when down to 10 men, held ball up, linked brilliantly and scored the winner. World class, only maybe 5 strikers in the world can do what he did tonight thats why kenny signed him

Maxi has four goals in eight league apps, same number as Carroll has in 31! Can't believe Kenny either saved Donki for Saturday, or give EXPLICIT instructions not to do anything to get sent off. At 2-0 up there was no sense in bringing the man down, none at all. He should have stayed on his feet, tried to delay him as long as possible and hope he either fluffed it or someone got back to cover the goal. Even if we conceded it isn't like Blackburn don't ship goals, it sure as hell isn't their goalscoring that has them down near the bottom - they've scored more league goals than us!

Best you can do is call this a battling performance against the odds, the odds were self inflicted and we were lucky, but hey ho. If the ref had stuck to his early policy and booked Flanagan a second time then we could have played with nine men had Donki also been sent off. And who really paid £2.3m for Jones? Saved a soft penalty, had to wait a while to do something to dedicate to his son, then drops a simple clanger literally for their equaliser. They're not in relegation mire for no reason.

Looking at the table this morning I think the best we can hope for is 7th, with five games to go that is poor.

Coach wonders why people pick him up on things..

In one thread he give his in depth anology of kenny and a part in it basically says he's guilty of being influenced by comolli regarding transfers, yet he's given his take on Carroll and how well he played last night and described it as a world class performance and goes on to say " thats why kenny signed him"
