Well it depends on what job you do , however you should keep one just in case for weddings etc if you are a student or don't need one

I had others but binned some recently, I tend to basically have one of each main type and just replace them with similar ilk when they become worn out.

Not worn one in about 3 years, when I wore one to get married in - that was a morning coat my uncle got married in in the 1960s, so it's quite cool. Purple lapels and so on.
