He's been gobing off, AGAIN!
Can't believe this sicko. He must of took the rejection of his donation badly, shows how disgusting this guy is. and before anyone says he's an idiot well he's not as its intentionally done to hurt the scouse people red or blue ands all the famalies that have had to mourn losses, what a complete waste of oxygen.
I respect Alan Davies's right to an opinion, even if his opinion is not one that I share.
I think this is a case of "it's not what you say, it's how you say it". I don't actually think that what he says is offensive, but it is a sensitive time to say things like that, especially with the 23rd anniversary coming up in no less than four days time.
He's an Arsenal fan and clearly like all Arsenal fans they have an axe-to-grind against Liverpool Football Club, so his comments about us come as no surprise. He isn't a Liverpool supporter and I doubt the Hillsborough disaster affected him at all. He has a right to question why our club doesn't want to play on the 15th of April each year, but we also have a right to ask the Football Association not to play on that day. It's our right to remember our fellow supporters in the way in which we want to and if that upsets Alan Davies, then that's too bad. If Arsenal fans were to suffer a tradegy and they asked the FA not to play on the anniversary of the incident, then I wouldn't have a problem with that either, it would be the same for any club. If it's an inconvenience for another club, then that's too bad.
As for Alan Davies being a fantastic comedian and a deeply intelligent man, I have yet to see it anywhere.
I was going to more or less write the same thing. Great post.
I have no problem with his view either or the right to voice it (I may not agree but that's what opinions are about), and if anything, i can understand that Chelsea fans are quite miffed by it too, but surely some of their anger should be towards Sky etc. It's the way he said it though; this wasn't a joke, it was venom in the way he said it.
I got sick of the coverage of the death of Princess Diana coverage and had a little moan at the time, but I did it a way that wasn't upsetting to my colleagues who I knew would be sensitive to my opinion.
Unfortunate he got some death threats as that pathetic minority will give fuel to his supporters and the anti-Liverpool brigade; but he really should know better; lost all respect for him.

Never had any respect for him.
Has a long reputation of treating members of the public like they're **** on his shoe.
Just one more Ill-informed, up-his-own-arse, C-list celebrity prat in a cast of thousands.

He's never watched people in his community die painfully and be unable to stop it happening.
He's never taken a long drive home unable to tell people he's safe.
He's never taken call after call from people crying down the phone with relief and horror and guilt.
He's never woken one day to find the most horrendous lies blaming victims as part of a political smear and cover up.
To be honest I wouldn't wish it on him.
Yes, I remember this programme. It wasn't just Liverpool Football Club he wanted to put into Room 101. He attacked everything from our comedians, the people, our accent - everything.
Make no mistake, this pleb absolutely hates us. He's got a face that I wouldn't tire of punching, and hair like a basket of angry worms. He starred in the most pathetic TV programme in recent years - Jonathan Creek - it was CRAP.
It's annoying to see people on here saying he is a good comedian. I never thought he was funny even before his Room 101 debacle.
After that I said to myself that if I ever came across him, I'd call him all the Cee Yew En Teas going, but now I think I would just launch my forehead into his nose at 60 mph and walk away smugly. Job done - Tee Doubleyou A Tee down!

'the man who started the attacks on me'
Jeez, and people think that scousers try and play the victim card too much. This man is truly pathetic, clearly has no idea STILL why what he said was so wrong and isn't worth anyone's time anymore.
If you ever pass him in your car this is one way to deal with him

If he's an Arsenal fan, why is he so concerned abt Chelsea? He's a **** btw
I thought perhaps that Alan Davies had never faced a tragedy.
But of course there was the 7/7 tube and bus bombings in 2005.
That tells me that he shares no sense of community with his fellow Londoners.
Now that really is sad.
I pity him, because I know I'll never be that poor.
hmmmm doubt he,l get a gig in liverpool again will he the pillok
He's obviously entitled to his opinion but he must have known it would cause outrage on Merseyside. He is media savvy, so he knew there would be fallout over his remarks. Allready expressed his dislike of Liverpool on room 101. Again he is entitled to dislike any city or it's people.
His offer of £1,000 to the Hillsborough fund was nearly as offensive as his oringinal remarks.
I'm absolutly certain there are many who share his views and much worse on the subject of LFC and the people of Liverpool. But we can't start bans or vendetta's against everybody that happens to dislike LFC or the people of Liverpool. Most of it is born out of jealousy.
We should condem it, move on.
This is just a nobody with little to no substance or deep values. I wouldn't wipe my arse with his face.
His show J-creek was utter ***** I nearly stabbed myself every time it came on.
All we're doing here with this up-roar is giving him power over us. Ignore people like that, they're embarressing themselves using such morrally suspect tactics to gain publicity. Dont let them have it.
Go on Margaret Aspinall, tell that clown how it is!
That should hurt him more than any death threats he has got.
Well done Margaret Aspinall.
gald margaret aspinall said that, hope he feels like the lowest of the low after his comments.
Well said Margaret Aspinall
