I think FSG are making it clear to everyone that heads will roll if things don't start to improve.
I believe that if Kenny doesn't win the FA Cup and finish the league on a high, then he could be shown the door too.
They're making it clear that success is now the defining value of Liverpool.
We have very good owners.
I'm a lot less convinced by them than i was 48 hours ago, i'm afraid.
Well you're the only one.
Signings were not good enough and we paid far, far too much for them.
We are 8th in the League.
The owners want and expect better, so they have got rid in time to appoint someone before the summer so they can spend the vast amounts of money on proper players.
They want to be the best and will not accept mediocrity
It's ******* brilliant!
The thing with you Higgy is you're happy in 8th place.
As long as the club is alive and legends are in charge you are happy with mediocrity.
Well it's not good enough for LIverpool FC I'm afraid.
Who is Higgy on this forum? Koppette?
Things were obviously not going too well and they decided to act where they think the problem lies now they have to find the solution which is a bit more complicated.
I'm not slating the owners. I'm not writing them off. I'm not saying Yanks out. None of that.
I'm just saying i'm a little worried by the cross wire stories coming out, and them phoning Tomkins up for a natter about how they can judge their employees. It doesn't add up.
I hope, as we all do, they prove to be good uns. They haven't proved anything yet.
Now, Dom, stop getting angry about lines of text that don't exist,
Ta.

Is Domino Koppette?
They proved that they will not accept mediocrity and will act fast when they see it.
You are happy with the signings, which is why you are unhappy with Comolli's sacking.
But the signings were not good enough and we massively overpaid, which is why we are sitting in 8th place amongst the Swansea's and Norwich's of this world, and the owners have shown their ambition by acting ruthlessley which is superb.
"We want to be the best and we certainly have the resources to match any team in football"
Will do for me.

Well to be fair (and this is not to deride the vast majority who can't get tickets, have too far to travel, etc), there is a bit of a difference between fans who sit at home and only watch the team on television and fans who go to Anfield and other grounds all around the country week in week out and invest a fair bit of money and time in doing so.
Indeed, but its Friday, the day before a cup semi final and I'd rather nip this in the bud now than have either of them go over board and do/post something silly and get themselves banned.
Both are true reds but both have a tendency to go a little OTT in heated debates. I'm just trying to look out for them here.
I think maybe they thought running a football club was going to be easy and that the same philosophies they have applied in the past to their other sports franchise's apply here. I think they have found out that it doesnt work with football and are possible calling on all the people they now know in the game for input.
While the timing off Comolli's departure was definitely wrong, it seems at least that they arnt willing to accept failure and they actually want whats best for the club. If this was the old regime, they wouldnt be showing this kind of action and would be very quiet in the background doing nothing about it.
I think there's a lot of the so called 'hardcore' getting their knickers in a twist because they think they see something that's happened before, when in fact, they arnt at all.
I saw some bloke on Granada reports from the SOS last night giving his 2 pence worth? Why? The club isnt in crisis, its not in meltdown, we've just sacked a guy who wasnt doing his job properly, and to be honest, from the murmurings of a lot of people in the game, wasn't that good at it anyway. People need to let these guys get on with running the club and stop getting up in arms over everything.
