series of Games with the best music tracks poll

I'm covering for JohnnyMercyside again this week week 3

The rule is the games must be a series and must have many tracks.

1. Final Fantasy

2. Grand Theft Auto

3. Metal Gear Solid

4. Sonic the Headgehog

5. Tomb Raider

6. Silent hill

7. Fifa

8. Super Mario

9 The Legend of Zelda

GTA/FIFA etc shouldn't count as they're licensed tracks, not originals.

In any case, Final Fantasy is the clear winner.

yes but if I left them out people would say how could you leave out games with such awesome sound tracks it was a tough call I flipped a coin

I was going to say the same thing about GTA but obviously been beaten to it. Original music, Final Fantasy can't be beat, IMO.

See this is why it shouldn't have been included, in my opinion. You may as well just say, 'all good music ever (since the 80's at least),' when you consider the GTA series.

I didnt want to include them but I would be slated if I did or slated if I didnt its a lose lose situation

Awk not having a go or anything mate, just like DDG said yesterday I do think it should have been original music as opposed to licensed tracks but each to their own, eh?

Agree with both points, GTA is just classic/cult 80's tunes not really original, FF is an incredible original score...I consider the intro to FF-VIII to be art.

Silent Hill oozes terror/atmosphere...the intro tune to the original is a wonderfull piece and lives on my Sony MP3 player.

Some of the Tomb Raider level music is quite beautifull as well.

Thing with SH1 was that once you watched the intro, you knew you were getting something a bit more dark and adult than the standard "survival horror" fare of the time. The music really set the tone.

I still mess my pants if a radio goes all funny and starts hissing ominous static all around the place..brrr.
