I'm going to Germany next the month and I'd like a bit of advise. I'll be in Hannover and Köln, any interesting place to visit, place to eat, bars, special food, activities?

Koln is one of my favourite cities. I had a fantastic time there last year. The Cathedral is a must. Then there's some brilliant bars, all serving the lovely local Kolsch beer. http://www.frueh.de/default.asp is one of them.
Its a brilliant city in one of my favourite countries. Everyone is really friendly and I can't wait to go back.

I live in Hannover, Where are you staying?
I'm staying in Heinrichstr just for 2 days, then I'm going to Koln. As a local, do you know any interesting place to visit apart from those are in tourism guides? thanks!!!!
Matt's right about the Cathedral, it's a phenomenal spectacle and on the scale of the Sagrada Familia. I was in Koln a couple of weeks ago over Easter and I stayed across the road from the Lindt chocolate museum; it contains a functioning chocolate production line and dishes out free chocolate to visitors - smelled lovely. Although the banks of the Rhine from Koln to Koblenz are a tad industrial, the stretch from Koblenz to Rudesheim is obscenely scenic. Fairytale stuff.
