Would you stick with Carroll and Suarez up top?
    What about bringing Enrique back?
Two in the middle or three?
Maxi worthy of a starting place? Bellamy? etc

How would you like to see us line up against West Brom?

    Reina

    Johnson------------Skrtel------------Agger------------Enrique

    Henderson---Spearing------Shelvey

I wouldn't be bothered in the slightest if either Bellamy or Downing started though. There are a few tough decisions there at this moment.

And yes, I wouldn't pick Gerrard. He's definitely going to play in the final, no sense "tiring" him out beforehand, those three midfielders looked good together against Blackburn, and should be good enough against West Brom.

Maybe start him for a game in the middle of the 3 weeks or something.

I'm being serious. He's had some very good games and some pretty bad games since his return from injury. His poor games have been attributed to "tiredness". Let's just make sure that isn't an issue. It also means that, if he can't be arsed putting the same effort in against the smaller teams as he does in the big games, he doesn't even have to. Furthermore, we'd be starting three young players and giving them experience in a game which a lot of the pressure is off.

I'd like to see Carroll starting, he needs a run of games between now and the end of the season for me.

In addition i'd like to see Shelvey, Coates and Maxi start.

Agger has only just returned from injury so i'd leave him on the bench, starting Coates with Skrtel

Carroll has to start and Carra has to be on the bench.

    Reina
    Johnson Skrtel Agger Enrique
    Shelvey Spearing Gerrard
    Downing Carroll Suarez

Unfortunate for Maxi and Bellers, but Downing delivered in the big game, and should suitably be rewarded. I'd probably give him more of a free role to head to either side or float through the middle, while Suarez does the same.

Carra should have been quietly eased into the coaching staff along time ago. Dalglish was so lucky that Agger at LB wasn't exposed. He would have got slaughterd if we lost.

Now is the perfect time to ease Coates into first team. Agger needs game time, so he should play an hour or so and give Coates the remainder of the match.

Hopefully, Enrique has learned his lesson, that he can't keep dwelling on the ball and ***king up, so he should play.

Likewise, Gerrard should play 1st half

Think the baggies will give us a run for their money. Their away form this season has been better than their home form. Dorrans scored an absolute cracker yesterday.

I'd like to see Shelvey start behind Carroll, they looked dangerous at Blackburn before the sending off and Jonjo had to move back to a centre midfield position. For this to happen however, Luis would move to the left hand side, a position in which he has experience from his time at Ajax, however Kenny has refrained from using him there thus far.

    ------------------------------Reina

    Johnson--------Skrtel----------------Agger--------Enrique

    ----------------Gerrard----------------Spearing

    Downing-------------------Shelvey-------------------Suarez

    ------------------------------Carroll

Subs: Jones, Carragher, Kelly, Henderson, Maxi, Bellamy, Kuyt

Alternatively, we could switch this system into a 4-4-2, with Jonjo moving alongside Spearing and Stevie moving out towards the right hand side and Luis partnering Andy up front. With Stevie on one flank and Downing on the other, Carroll can expect some decent service throughout.

I agree with this. I'd also like to see Shelvey back in the startling line up too.

Would like to see Sterling and Jonjo in action.

Also the Saurez+Carroll partnership needs to continue.

I reckon it will be a 3-1 victory to the REDS

Good chance to rest Gerrard again.
Good chance to get Raheem on the bench.
Good chance to have Shelvey start.
Good chance to reacquaint our solid back 4.
Good chance to get Reina a clean sheet and some confidence.
Good chance to get Andy another goal.
Great chance to lose 1-0 and be thoroughly angry and disappointed all over again

I think our 2nd half performance was the best this year so I hope the same form continues till the end of the season
