i think spearing and shelvey got pushed into the side too early after gerrard, lucas and adam all got injured. think they should get loaned out for a season. im not sure if aquilani has desire to play in england so think he'll be sold. joe cole is ok but i would rather give the no 10 shirt to a new striker, which we desperatly need. im excited about sigurdsson and hope we get him

I expect to see most movement in central midfield. With Bellamy, Downing, Suarez and Sterling for the inside forwards, I can't see a lot happening there, one in maybe. And Rodgers may (probably will) get another striker in.

Maybe they believed what our Managing Director told the press about the calibre of manager they where going for?

If that's the case they are perfectly entitled to feel disappointed.

Instead of dwelling on it though it might be just best to get behind the new man and give him our full support, he might just surprise a few.

He will get his chance and people can feel disappointed in the appointment but open to see what he can do.

he will get the full support of the fans on the pitch. but here everyone can say his opinion even if its bad for BR. no one can judge him yet ... he would need a lot of time cos he will not be able to atract big names and he will need to get the best of our curent players. after 1-2 full seasons then we can judge him. but for now everyone has a right to be disapointed with his appointment cos he is obviously not the top class manager ayre promised us. and i doubt that BR will sit here and read all the coments in this forum and be depresed about negative comments. get real dude ... this is INTERNET FORUM and managers dont give a **** about internet forums .... everyone will support BR when we go to games but here we can say whatever we want. thats what about internet forums ... and not about saying only good things no matter what you think... this forum is about to say your opinion.

At their age Spearing and Shelvey should be pushing for a starting place. Shelvey has spent enough time on loan. Spearing looked good at the start of the season when we were a little more direct but he lost confidence and his form diminished towards the end of the season. I think he's an ideal holding midfielder, he's even improved in the air but he's not confident enough going forward. With his range of passing he should be setting the tempo for us on the pitch. Anyway, he's Lucas' deputy really.

Agree with you about the rest though, Aquilani won't settle, especially if Rodgers goes for Gylfi. Cole can play on the wing, good impact sub. Ideally we need a striker who can play anywhere across that front three, a young craig bellamy. Won't come cheap.

Adam should go. Spearing should be loaned out. Aquilani and Cole need to be assessed if they can fit in, if not sell them.

Adam's consistently featured in the top end of most of our statistics, most assists for example, even doing well in aerial duels and that's considering a first season cut short by injuries. FSG take these stats seriously, just as well...

Spearing won't be loaned out. He'll deputise for Lucas, play a good bit in cup games.

Spearing would be 25 by the time he came back from loan. He's not good enough for a team hoping to eventually challenge for the title. I'd not miss Charlie Adam if he was sold but if he was kept on then I wouldn't be that against it either.

I reckon Shelvey might get a season out on loan to someone like Swansea and I think Aquilani will probably move back to Italy. Leaving us Gerrard, Lucas, Henderson, Cole, and possibly another (Sigurdsson, Diame etc).

Downing will probably be given a chance to show what he can do but I don't hold out an awful lot of hope for him. He's 28 and failed to score or provide a single league assist last season. Says it all.

I can see Doni/Jones leaving and possibly Maxi as well. Defensively I think we definitely need to keep hold of Agger and keep him fit. I wouldn't like to lose Skrtel but think he's be more replaceable than Agger (not many great ball-playing centre-backs out there). Coates should become third choice with Carra fourth choice. May need another left-back to challenge Enrique unless Robinson steps up. Hopefully see a few youngster breaking through next season too. Reckon Sterling, Adorjan (as a number 10) and a couple of others would be the most likely.

Is there any stats on his horrible tackling? How about giving the ball away?

Spearing isn't good enough to deputise for Lucas. We need to bring in a DM.

Highly unlikely either one will be sold and Spearing is good enough to deputise for Lucas. Not every academy graduate is going to walk into the first team but if they can contribute as a squad player then that's a sound investment.

Adam looked best playing next to a destroyer like Lucas, he's a deep-lying playmaker in my view. You could see him sitting deep alongside Lucas under Rodgers' system with the more mobile Henderson ahead of him in a midfield three.

Spearing should be sold. He'd be a good player for a bottom half of the table team. £3m for him would be fair value as well.

He had his chances over the last two years. A few good games but clearly he's not good enough.

Just ignore him mate he's an idiot, you would think he's the only one that goes to the games the way he sprouts on. If it was up to him we would still have Kenny as manager and looking for another top 8 finish.

Nope. He is not good enough to have anything to do with LFC. If he wasn't a local and an Academy product, he'd be gone a long time ago. I wish him all the best in his career, but he simply does not have the quality to succeed at this club.
