Dempsey at 29 kinda old so might not happen, if it does he does score goals at least.

Of coarse they come up, those were the players he was interested while he was at Swansea but this is LFC, only Sigurdsson is good enough to fight for a place here in the future.

Sigurdsson yes, I would say that's definite.

Dos Santos couldn't get his game at Spurs, he'll be a Swansea player maybe.

Clint Dempsey is on record as saying he wants Champions League football so I have a feeling he'll go to Arsenal.

With the type of formation that Rodgers uses I cant see BR buying both Dempsey and Sigurdsson as we have too many central midfielders already and Dos Santos i talked about to friends when he was playing understudy to Ronaldinho at Barca but i hear at Spurs his career hasnt taken off due to his off field behaviour not being the best, besides i'd rather BR use Sterling more and Suso as understudy to whoever is picked to play the attacking mid fielder position

dont expect big names with big price tags, brenden knows who will fit into his system if he thinks dempsey can do the job for 4 million then by god he will get him. trust me im a good friend of his.

jesus sterling is 17 years old and suso is to ! , give them time, yes put them on a bench but dont rely on the poor bugers, you need a spine and experience for them to look up to and take the weight from them

You shouldnt focused on their age as the old saying goes if ** good enough your old enough, anyway i didnt say to play them all the time i said use them as understudies to whoever plays, fabregas at arsenal had already played over 50 games at a similar age and look at rooney at 16, how are they supposed to get the experience by sitting on the bench and im sorry but who would you play Sterling or Downing

No you think we'll sign him just to sell shirts in the USA. well thought tactical, but I still think we should bring better players.

I would love dos santos here.. i always felt he had a lot more to offer than he was showing at Tottenham.. he could become a great success.. he was a great player to watch when he played against brazil the other day... Gylfi seems good to, but i dont know enough about him tbh. Dempsey is a nogo for me, even though he was good against us i feel like he wont give us what we need.

... at the moment, Downing, simply for his experience. But give it a year or two, and Sterling will be a thousand times better than he is now and completely ready.

dont fancy dempsey even though he scores goals, maybe its the age thing we should look at, fowler mc manaman gerrard and carra were in the same position as sterling is now and if you dont try them out you will never know what the future holds for the kids

sell Mr "0 everything" Downing and buy a winger like adam johnson cheap quality and realistic then use sterling as a back up.

i feel we should have to players nailed on for every position and the third player should be from the youth acad

As ive mentioned in other threads

4 Mill for a player that was 4th in the list for player of the season is a no brainer - plays across front 3 and uptop on his own - come on 4mill for Dempsey - 20 mill for Downing - what would you have

If hes looking at dempsey and sigurdsson, hopefully hes trying to address one of our major problems over the last few seasons which is goals from midfield, and they both seem relativley cheap so hopefully leaving a good amount of his transfer budget to try and bring in a really good young player.

Yes for Dempsey and Sigurdsonn, not so sure for dos Santos. He did play at different big clubs but did not work at all and was often a fringe player, particularly at Barcelona and Tottenham. The most of the elite clubs started to ignore him a bit of time ago yet.

£55 for Carrol & Downing. 4 goals 3 assists(0/0 frow downing, could the jersey be that heavy?). Perhaps as little as £4 for Dempsey. 17 goals 6 assists?????????? Hmmmm. I wonder how many Reds kits will sell in USA if he is on the tour this summer?

The player I hope BR takes a look at is Dries Mertens... Yes he hurt Cahill but over the last two season he has been racking up the goals and assist and always looks a constant threat.

if we want top4 we should aim higher than this. if we are happy with being mid table club next 10 years then go for another average players like last summer. hope BR learned from KD mistakes and stop buying average craps. now when kuyt is gone and joe cole returning ... we can forget about new wing ... its obvious BR sold kuyt to get back cole and play him

Only Marquee signings are capable of improving a team that finished 8th, 30 points behind the winners. Of course he would be good enough for a team like Newcastle, who challenged for 4th.
