Thread: xbox troubles

    hi,
    over the past 2 days the power light between the 4 rings on my xbox has started to rapidly blink green, this is followed shortly by the disk tray opening whilst im playing a game.

    does anyone know how i can fix this ?

    please dont reply by just saying "phone Microsoft"

    Yeah you got hardware failure lol. You have to send it in for repair. An extremely stupid method I did to make mine work was to wrap my xbox up in a towel and leave the xbox on for 20 minutes and let it over heat. Turn it off and let it cool for 10 minutes and it usually worked.

    I repeat this method is stupid and you're xbox can combust...unless your attitude to life is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xPO4gpyeM_Y&feature=fvst don't do it.

    Just tried to swtich mine on and 3 of the ring parts are flashing red. Anyone know what the problem is or how to fix?

    RROD. Happens a lot on old 360 sets. Can be fix if you know how to.

    Microsoft should fix it for free though, they did for mine and my brothers, and actually gave him a new console when his broke the second time.

    There's a few solutions on You Tube which I'm not so sure about. Will try Microsoft but might be out of warranty. Cheers.

    I think you can now take xbox to tesco's (the big stores with tesco direct in) for repair and its cheaper and takes less time than sending it back to microsoft.
