Torres let greed take over his mind, had he stayed at Anfield and teamed up with Suarez he would be bagging 20+ goals per season, the Liverpool fans adored Torres and he walked away for money, he became a football whore!. o.k so he got his c/l winners medal but he sold his soul to get it, we will never see the Torres of old again.

You know you're desperate when you go back to the hairstyle you had when goals were flowing freely.

I dont think he left for greed.he left because he wanted to win trophies, and in fairness he has won a Champions league and a FA cup, whereas we finished 8th in the league. I dont think he would be performing any better had he still been playing for us,injuries have took their toll on him and i doubt he will ever get back to the player he was, he was nowhere near the standard of his 1st 2 season in his last year with us.

I doubt it, Torres has lost a lot of his pace. He used to be able to explode forward with a surging run, he cannot do that now. Look at the through ball played through to him yesterday, he would have been off like a rocket and he also seems to be taking a touch too many. Torres of old would have surged forward and slotted that to the keepers right, instead he took a touch to try and round the keeper and Buffon caught up with him.

He's a shadow of the player he once was and we sold him at the right time to the right club and for the right price.

This. People just need to realize that Torres now is not Torres 4 years ago. He's a different player. 2 knee surgeries in 6 months killed his pace.

Something i aggree with you on, its plain to see that he just does not have the legs he used to have, in situations where he would have used his pace, he now trys to use a bit of skill instead and hes not up to it.

Because Torres is a joke, he went from playing every week and been one of the first names in the spain team to
Sitting on the bench for chelsea and spain..

Agreed. Can't stress the idiocy of the the decision he made. Least move in the summer, never ever going to be loved like he was here. For that reason I hate him. Strong word but I idolised him and to see him be wasted at CFC is a shambles.

Torres is a system player, at Liverpool he fitted perfectly with Gerrard and Kuyt and obviously with Rafa's style of play at Chelsea he's just another player who seems neglected, he should of never left us and he know this deep down.

Well, that was Rafa's system and Torres left after Rafa did, who is to say the new manager would have utilised him in the same way? I doubt they would have done and maybe that is one of the reasons he left, apart from the money and success on a plate maybe he felt Chelsea would utilize him correctly, perhaps he looked at AVB's style and thought it would suit him- maybe it would have done but unfortunately for him non of the Chelsea players took AVB seriously and now Torres is lost again.

Even under Roy he was our best player.
    My belief about Torres is,

he wasn't mentally prepared to leave Liverpool
he has lost half a yard and he hasn't quite adapted
he hasn't got the same relationships with players or staff at Chelsea that he had here
    his confidence is low
the system isn't as well adapted

I have seen it likened to when Owen lost his pace but for me it isn't the same, Owen always relied on his pace whereas at his height Torres was the best striker in the world and the most complete.

    Wasn't very hard competition.

Watching him yesterday I actually felt a little ache (re:sympathy) in my heart when he blew his first chance then proceeded to mess up the next when Navas was right there to tap it in. Then I remembered why he's in the position he is in now and the ache disappeared very quickly

Heskey was a good servant for the club, show some respect to him. He's accomplished more in the game than you have.

It was an honour to watch him play for LFC very exciting and talented player, it is a shame that he left on the terms that he did.
