BBC's punditry has always been better but Chiles isn't that bad just don't take him too seriously. Carra has been very good and right on the money with most of his comments and observations.
Should we take you seriously when you say that about Chiles - surely you're joking, aren't you?

He said he left for medals. Well he got a big one. A man permenantly out of form with a WC and CL medal.Think the guy is a terrible presenter but even he made me burst into laughter with this comment on the Euro 2012 summary.

Basically, not much. I'd compare him to Colin Murray. From this it seems that he's actually quite intelligent. Who'd have thought it!
Edit: I just read that back and it sounds ridiculous. Basically I meant that not much qualified him for the Football part of his job apart from being a presenter and liking football.
I don't think I'd mind him if he didn't try to make jokes about everything that happens in the match at half time and did a serious bit of hosting...

BBC vs ITV it's difficult Chiles is awful BUT I can't imagine there is a worse commentator anywhere in the world than Mark Lawrenson.
Nothing depresses me quicker than hearing him droaning on and on, with his little, petty snide remarks. I think I'd rather put up with Chiles quite frankly.
BBC is better simply because it doesn't have 4 ad breaks every half-time/prior to kick off.
Colin Murray he's got to be the worst of the lot!

Never really had much opinion on Chiles before but he's a terrible anchor and has zero charisma. Him trying to be funny makes me want to rip off my own ears. Or change the channel. Its a close call.
Roy Keane, Adrian Chiles, Jamie Carragher and Patrick Vieira has to be the worst line up for punditry I have ever seen. I find every single one of these individuals incredibly boring and bland.
Don't mind Vieira. Jamie isn't to bad, doesn't play by the diplomatic rules, if he thinks somebody has played crap he'll say so. Giles is a ***...end of.
Roy Keane is thinking of applying for the Ireland job. Trap will spew it after the Euros, could do worse that Roy.
