Its a bit early but might as well get the conversation about the new season fixtures going.

(Also please post the full fixture list in this thread saves forum space)

So who do you think we will get on the opening day and final day?
When do we face Everton and Manchester United home and away?
Who will our rivals get on the first day?
Could there be a clash between the Big 6 on the first day?
Home or away at home for LFC?
What will be the toughest run in our fixture list?

and many more anwsers to be anwsered on Monday 18th June 2012, release date for the fixtures.

I think we will get Home against Fulham if its a home tie and if its away I think it will be Norwich City &
We will finish the season with Newcastle United

I'd like something like our last 10 fixtures from last season as our opening games, not the same results mind obviously (nine defeats in our last 14 league games) Even when we were looking at the CL final in 2005 we picked up 21 points from our last 14 games compared to 13 last season (reached two finals in the season both times)

I'll leave this. But if you continue posting this in every thread you see, it will be the equivalent of spamming.

Again, there is no reason to suggest we will get relegated. We just won the Carling Cup and you are going on about not ever winning anything. Are you serious? Or just have a warped perception on things?

Plenty of similar sentiments were expressed when Hodgson was here, claims we were "nearly relegated" or heading that way. He went, Kenny may not have had a blinding league season but he won a cup and reached another final - who'd have thought we'd win anything back in December 2010?

Save doom and gloom predicting of relegation and never winning anything ever again IF we're bottom at Christmas in any given season.

Holy ****, thats a pretty serious run. We'll need to hit the ground running in august, don't want to head into a run like that desperate for points. saying that, theres a couple of wins and at least a draw in those matches.

They're already better than you since they seem to have shown more class than you have.

We need a good start so here's hoping to an easy August and September to avoid the mass hysteria that will come if we don't "win all of our games".

Man City - Arsenal - Man Utd are our first three home games (NOW is the time to improve our shocking home form!!!)

Infact...... our first 6 are pretty tough, I`d be happy with 10 points from these.

Our Xmas games seem Ok with Fulham h, Stoke City a, QPR (a) and Sunderland h. - another 10 pts please!

Then we`re in for a tough run at the start of 2013. Will it be a repeat of our shocking start to 2012......I can`t see many points coming from Man Utd (a), Norwich (h), Arsenal (a) and Man City (a) - Anything more than 6 points from these will do.

Our run-in isn`t too bad - we should get our customary 6 points off The Bitters and The Chavs, and knock QPR down to The Championship on the final day......Fulham, Newcastle and Reading away days should give us a decent points total.

Liverpool will kick off the new season with a trip to Steve Clarke's West Bromwich Albion on the weekend of August 18 before the champions travel to Merseyside a week later for Brendan Rodgers' first competitive home game.

The Merseyside derbies take place on October 27 (A) and May 4 (H).

Another fixture our new manager will be looking out for is his first return to the Liberty Stadium to face former club Swansea on November 24.

On Boxing Day Liverpool travel to Stoke City, while the fixture list has Sunderland down to visit L4 on New Year's Day.

Our season will reach a conclusion when Queens Park Rangers make the journey to Anfield on Sunday, May 19.

Liverpool's Capital One Cup (League Cup) campaign is due to start on September 26. The final is set to be staged on February 24. The FA Cup third round is scheduled for the weekend of January 5, with the final on May 11.

Here is our fixture list in full:

    AUGUST

    18 West Brom (A)
    25 Manchester City (H)

    SEPTEMBER

    1 Arsenal (H)
    15 Sunderland (A)
    22 Manchester United (H)
    29 Norwich City (A)

    OCTOBER

    6 Stoke City (H)
    20 Reading (H)
    27 Everton (A)

    NOVEMBER

    3 Newcastle United (H)
    10 Chelsea (A)
    17 Wigan Athletic (H)
    24 Swansea City (A)
    27 Tottenham (A)

    DECEMBER

    1 Southampton (H)
    8 West Ham (A)
    15 Aston Villa (H)
    22 Fulham (H)
    26 Stoke City (A)
    29 QPR (A)

    JANUARY 2013

    1 Sunderland (H)
    12 Manchester United (A)
    19 Norwich City (H)
    29 Arsenal (A)

    FEBRUARY

    2 Manchester City (A)
    9 West Brom (H)
    23 Swansea City (H)

    MARCH

    2 Wigan Athletic (A)
    9 Tottenham (H)
    16 Southampton (A)
    30 Aston Villa (A)

    APRIL

    6 West Ham (H)
    13 Reading (A)
    20 Chelsea (H)
    27 Newcastle United (A)

    MAY

    4 Everton (H)
    12 Fulham (A)
    19 QPR (H)

Tough start but good news is that they are all at Anfield. Also we are better against the bigger sides anyway! the problem we need to correct is against the lesser sides. Our month of december we should be looking at maximum points from all those games for example. Another good thing is that having a tough start but being home too means that it forces us to start well. Get positive results early on and it sets us up well. These 3 home games also gives us a great chance to send out a statement and make Anfield a FORTRESS!!

I'm a bit disappointed by the draw. Man City, Arsenal and Man Utd at home immediately let me quite upset. Anyway I hope for a good start and an immediate impact by the new arrivals. Good luck Brendan, I think you will need it terribly!

Think he'll need patience shown to him more than anything. Last thing we need is a bad start to be accompanied by the 'Rodgers Out!' /'Bring Rafa Back' campaigns to swing into gear. Could be an amazing opportunity for him to show he belongs here too though. Get off to a flier in these games and he can create a positivity and optimism around the club that sets us up well for a good seasons.

I'm reasonably happy with that, a winnable game away followed by a couple of tough games but at least both at home. It is potentially tough with Man City (h), Arsenal (h), Sunderland (a) and then Man Utd (h), but if we get results we should at home then it is followed by four winnable games. We could conceivably get 20+ points from that 10 game start, working on four home wins (minimum) and 2+ away. And we'll have gotten the tougher games out of the way, only what spudz and Chelsea missing from the top seven last season in that 10 game start.

Could have been a lot worse, reverse the venues and then see if you aren't feeling more pessimistic.

I think this is a brilliant fixture. They won't be looking forward to visiting us make no mistake.
Also regardless of when we play them, it matters not if it's at the start or end.

Arsenal and United actually have tough starts during the first 6-10 games.

United got us, newcastle, spurs, arsenal and chelsea in short succession
arsenal got us, mancity and chelsea early.

Lots of big clashes early on this season, that could mean that alot of title rivals and top 4 challengers could drop points against each other early on

VERY difficult beginning of the season. At least our last 3 months are all relatively easy (although we said that last season )

Interesting that United have been guaranteed another opening 3 points away at Everton who don't usually start trying until December...

Thats the thing, it does not matter who and when we play anyone, to be the best you have to beat the best and take any run as it comes.
