Alot of the sprinters in the athletics have been wearing them lately too. I think they are form of muscle support for possible tinges. Not positive but think so.

Appear to be Kinesio Tape: http://www.kinesiotaping.co.uk/

Used for treating sport injuries and aiding lymphoedema reduction

Article here on it with specific reference to Balotelli: http://www.ministryofsoccer.org/2012...occer-players/

Was thinking it was something like that, they look strange but I suppose they must do something seeing as all sports men and possibly women seem to be wearing them

I've also seen these on a few of the Croatian players, and had bothered me as well.

I use a version of it for rugby called kt tape. It actually helps. I was skeptical at first but happy with it.

Players these days are such ****s! The slightest touch, they go down like they`ve been shot. They wear snoods, gloves and leggins in the winter.

If they have even the slightest twinge, all this "magic tape" comes out!! It`s a useless gimmick.

Football has basically become a non contact sport, and it`s annoying.

Did players in the 70`s and 80`s come out with magic tape when theyd been on the end of a 2 footed (legal) lunge?? No!!
Did they roll around crying? No!!
Did the FA call for a huge ban? No!!

They got up, got on with it.....and turned up ready to do it all again the week after.

So please don`t facepalm me when I say modern players are pampered little wimps.

Players in the 70's and 80's would also get their arse handed to them on a plate by the modern players.

I wouldn't say that if you where near Buffon if I where you, once he'd finished putting his hair grips in he may very well scratch your eyes out.

A man isn't a man unless he's comfortable wearing hair grips...

The FIFA needs to look at this as it could be easily used to allow players to filter performance-enhancing substances into their bodies on the sly.

But it would still come up in testing? Method isn't really the issue and any traces would be picked up in a proper test.

Players in the 80's weren't worth 10's of millions of pounds to their clubs.

Its the clubs who can't risk them not the players.

I think you'll find there's a ''monkey on his back'' and it pretends to be ''blue tape'' so nobody will know and chase it away !

Agree with that part.....but it still doesn`t excuse the "going down like you`ve been shot" etc
