    Milner - 1 Game
    Firmino - 1 Game

Our best defender, our two star attacking players and arguably our stand out midfield performer of the 1st half of the season all missed 10 games or more.

And our captain is likely to end up the same.
Wow. 5 of our best XI missing 10 games or more. Lucky us.

Aye, injuries have definitely hit us harder than some of the teams around us in the table plus you can add in a half dozen or so more missed for AFCON by Mane/Matip.

We also haven't been the beneficiaries of much by way of dodgy officiating. I make it 4 points dropped to bad off-side calls/non-calls against top 4 competition compared to the utter absurdity that is ManU's take from dodgy officiating.

eta: I thought at the start of the season we could be in the title hunt with luck on injuries and a few breaks. Unfortunately we have pretty much had neither of those...

Cheers for the info, shame that's it's that news though. Could have had an impact against teams like West Ham, Watford.

Sturridge and Lallana in full training today.

Gotta figure both will be on the bench to start. Hopefully won't need them, but if they come on and pick us up some points, then I'd be over the moon.

They should start the game. This isn't the time to be careful.

We are an attacking side. Leaving two of our best attacking players on the bench is insanity.

Cout back in training, but apparentely 'running like Acteberg' according to JK.

Not sure how the dead leg effects him. Will he start on the bench? Not sure if you can run through the pain for 90, or 60, or 30.

Danny and Lallana seem to be match fit again.

Lots of words from JK at the awards re. Henderson. Don't know what it all meant. Lots of theorists on here in various Threads but I can't get a feeling for WHAT is going on. I really wish a journo would ask him a direct question re the injury - not about his rehab etc etc. He is our captain after all.

I'm hoping we can sell him off along with others....Hendo is turning into another Lucas and as much as we love and appreciate their contribution to this club there comes a time when everyone must move on or retire.

We have too many slow pace players in midfield with no oooomph we need vavavoom...

Knew Ings wouldn't make it but expected Mane too.

Hopefully they're both fit and sharp to link up with the squad in Germany.

The start of the new season just around the corner

Its gonna be touch and go with injuries now

Milner had an issue with his quad, but is expected back in training in 10 days

There is also good news for Danny Ings and Sadio Mane as the pair have both returned to full team training.

But, Nathaniel Clyne is still having treatment for his back problem.

Other injury worries to Loris Karius (hip) and Danny Ward (back) seem to be fairly minor. But, they are both unlikely to be available for either the Hertha Berlin game or the tie against Bayern Munich in the Audi Cup three days later.
