I can't understand people coming on here and phoning radio stations saying Rodgers has to go and we should have kept Dalglish.

Dalglish won 4 of his last 12 games at Liverpool 13 if you include FA Cup so why do people phone in and say we was turning the corner under Dalglish?

    Liverpool have played 4 games
    WBA (A)
    Man City (H)
    Arsenal (H)
    Sunderland (A)

I would have said 7 points from them games would be excellent as it is we got 2 points played well in 2 poor in the other 1 and a half games. Liverpool are being more attacking taking the game to teams and Joe Allen is a quality signing not to mention Rodgers has given Sterling an opportunity.
I am glad the manager is willing to give kids a chance if that are good enough they are old enough and I am glad he is encouraging the players to keep possesion more open and taking the game to teams.

Players will take time to adjust to how the manager wants us to play and will make mistakes but we will get there. Top 6 was always our aim this season and look to take it a step further next season.

We could have also gained 12 points from them games. Depends if your glass is half full or half empty I suppose.

I am not a pessimist or an optimist at the moment, however I am a realist. The truth of the matter is if we finish seventh but we are showing progress I would be comfortable with that this season. Because I have absolute confidence in BR and what he is trying to achieve. We have the bare bones of a squad at the moment, who are currently trying to get to grips with a new style. The fans will just have to be patient. It will come though, I am confident in that.

The board were not expecting top 4 and I certainly wasn't. Liverpool have finished outside the top 4 for the past 3 seasons so why do you think top 4 should be our aim?

Rodgers gets no credit for "giving Sterling an opportunity".

Any manager in the world would be playing him.

Dalglish didn't last year. He opted for Downing and Henderson unless you want to count the 10 minutes Dalglish gave him against Wigan.

    He did.

Also, why not play him earlier?

Why not play him as soon as we signed him?

He's playing at exactly the right time.

Seriously though - anybody who thinks Kenny wasn't doing the right thing by drip feeding a barely 17yr old kid into the Prem, in a struggling side, ........

I think is quite unusual to give a 17 years old 3 consecutive starts keeping in the bench a 20 million England international and one of this summer signings, not every manager would have done that and it is fair to give Rodgers credit for that, as well as dropping Sahin and playing Shelvey.

No just sat there in silence and disbelief same as the other fans at Anfield watching us being outplayed by Wigan and Fulham then read on forums how great Dalglish has us playing.
When Dalglish took over Hodgson in January we played great from January until May but his full season he was defensive the stats prove that but people will say we would have won the league if it wasn't for the pesky woodwork.

How many seasons were Newcastle, Everton and Spurs out of the top 4 when they managed it for the first time? I could add add City to the list too but they did spend a lot to achieve it

Those three trips to Wembley must have been traumatic for you.

Could at least have played Coates over Carra.

No need to panic. Just have to make fever mistakes leading to conceding, and keep at improving our game. It's been a tough start in the league, but after the United match, we'll have three very winnable games, at Norwich and against Stoke and Reading at home.

Did you say the same thing at this point in Roy's Liverpool career?

Why would anyone be panicking now? We all knew it would be difficult, especially with such a thin squad.

Hig, honestly, Dalglish could have played him a lot more than he did last season, so I don't know what you're on about here.

I'm not panicking in the sense that I believe in the project and I know it will take years to reap the rewards. However I do kind of feel like this season is almost already a write off and worry about the consequences about keeping players or attracting better talent.

The main thing thing that can't happen is that BR must be given a few seasons turn things around, we can't sack another manager so quickly.
