I agree with this; I think Bayern will get it then lose it to Dortmund. Even though I have a preference for Bayern...

    Still doesn't mean they'll win

Note to Shield holders Do not get a man sent off after 18 mins. Especially if playing Bayern.

Goals to Thomas Muller and Tymoschuk gave Bayern a comfy'ish victory.

Next up amazingly is Dortmund's third challenge for the Shield. They're 1 and 1 to date, but Bayern must be favourites given its at the Allianz.

The biggest of Bundesliga clashes, this time for the World Shield.

Mine's on Bayern despite Dortmund's back-to-back league doubles the last two years, and last years cup final demolition...

Next up if Bayern win are:
    -BATE Borisov h
    -Augsburg a

If Dortmund get up, they'll face:
    -Man City h
    -Wolfsburg a

There's a few if's involved, but Man City could hold both the World and Ranfurly Shields by December 5...

Bayern held on OK, leading through Toni Kroos in the second half, with Dortmund equalising with 10 minutes to go.
Next up is BATE Borisov, offering the unlikely promise of a trip to Belarus for the Shield.

More likely is Bayern to hold on for a good while, they've been very hard to beat...

    BAYERN v Bate Borisov:

Bayern defend the Shield at the Allianz against BATE from Belarus, a team who shocked Bayern earlier in the competition by beating them 3-1 in Minsk.
With Robben and Badstube out Bayern have some issues, but scoring goals is not one of them, and they should win comfortably.

If Bayern win they face next:
    -Augsburg (a)
    -Bor. Monchengladbach (h)

Is there any other foreign club as well liked by Reds fans as Monchengladbach ?

If BATE win... well maybe lets leave that for now and return to it should we need to

A good solid win for Bayern, with goals from Thomas Muller and Gomez, who's scoring goals immediately after his recent comeback from injury.

Tough but Stuttgart are mid-table, I know what should happen, Bayern are unstoppable, although Arsenal might take it for England.

Next up on Sunday for Bayern is Stuttgart away, a tough one. If they get past that it's:
    -Mainz (a)
    -Schalke (h)

If Stuttgart can get across the line they'll be the first club to hold the World Shield twice and will face:
    -Fortuna Dusseldorf (a)
    -Werder Bremen (h)

Another great win for Bayern in front of 60,000 at the Mercedes-Benz Arena based on second-half goals from Mandzukic and Thomas Muller.
Next up is Mainz, again away from home

Bayern's tenure is really starting to grow in stature, as they look for their eighth successful defence. Spoilt for choice up front choosing between Mandzukic and Gomez they also have Thomas Muller in red hot form with 10 goals and eight assists already this season in the Bundesliga.

Mainz, remarkably sit 5th in the table, a great achievement in the highly competitive Bundesliga.

If Bayern come up trumps, next they'll meet:
    -Schalke 04 (h)
    -Wolfsburg (a)
(then travel to Arsenal if they get through that)

If Mainz can pull off a shock they'll face:
    -Augsburg (a)
    -Schalke 04 (h)

    Wolfsburg (a) 2-0 (Mandzukic, Robben)
Arsenal (a) 3-1, (Kroos, T Muller, Mandzukic) and
Werder Breman (h) 6-1 (Gomez-2, Ribery, Robben, og)

Bayern are the hottest team in Europe right now, and with Pep still to come.
    A few stats:
-63 goals for and 8 against in the Bundesliga
-12 World Shield defences and counting (32 goals for and 5 against)
-Mandzukic top equal scorer in the Bundesliga with 15
-Thomas Muller with 11 and 9 assists (top equal in Bundesliga)

A fairly comfortable albeit not spectacular win for Bayern, defence number 14, through a 38th-minute Gomez winner.

Next up are Fortuna Dusseldorf at the Allianz

Arsenal become the first English side to take the Shield, beating Bayen in Munich through goals from Giroud and Koscielny.
So whilst they are out of the CL, they win the World Shield...

    Finally a trophy for Arsenal

Great to have this shield in England again, although it was interesting dipping into other leagues

The World Shield debuts in its third country, (technnically Wales I guess) as Swansea try to wrest the Shield from Arsenal.
Arsenal are without Wilshere, and the Liberty is a tough place to go this season, so Laudrup may fancy his chances of continuing the Swan's momentum.

Next up if Arsenal can hold are:
    -Reading (h)
    -West Brom (a)

If Swansea can win, they'll face:
    -Tottenham (h)
    -Norwich (a)

Great hold from the Gunners, easing to a comfortable win at the Liberty with two late goals from Monreal (he of the hot girlfriend) and Gervinho (he of the substantial forehead)
