If Chelsea win the Europa League would they get a spot in the Europa League next season as the holders?

If then they qualified for the CL, would that spot go to the 6th place PL team?

The other spots I believe got to: 5th PL, Swansea EL (for winning League Cup), FA Cup winners EL (but if in CL then FA cup runners up, who will take the spot as they are not going to qualify any other way)

Then: Top team in Fair play league not otherwise in Europe, IF England get into top 3 countries fair play table.

No another space wouldn't be made available.

Only exceptions are made for the winners. i.e. if Chelsea won it but finished 6th(not good enough for EL). Then Chelsea would go in at the expense of 5th place. Similarly like Chelsea won the CL, they took 4th spot at the expense of 4th placed Spurs. It doesnt open up opportunities for teams who arent good enough to qualify.

Just curious where are in Fair Play League and where are England ?

I should hope if the only teams above us are already qualified for Europe then it should go to us.

Do you know what happens exactly ? Do we just go into the 1st qualifying round ?

Mmmmm, lovely Stoke and their robust game. I might moan about BR, but it could be a lot worse

What we need now is a 'country' fair play league table.

If England finishes top 3 the spot would go to us as it stands.

Seems we are in 3rd (England that is as of 6 weeks ago). Southampton getting a little bit ahead of themselves it seems.

Doing a bit of research it seems Norway, Sweden, Finland, Holland tend to make up the three spots

    Our path to Europe:

    1. Win.
    2. Attack.
    3. Be nice.
    4. Encourage opposition to be nice too.

Who will be the first to say a serious of debatable booking between now and the end of the season for us is a conspiracy by Manure to stop us getting that place?

I've heard through the grapevine that Ferguson is already instructing his referees to give us a few cards so we won't get that spot.

The only way we can get European football is to finish 5th or by fair play. We got screwed by the FA Cup draw.

Is it REALY that important to play in Europa league ?
If it is not CL we must focus on the league and get to top 4 next season.

If they do I'll dance for Rafa, as he laughs at their awful 'fans' and walks away with 10m.

I think 6th place would get it in a few circumstances, if spurs win this years Europa and finish 5th (good chance with bale's injury) or if Chelsea finish 5th and qualify through winning fa cup or Europa? If arsenal finish 5th then no chance.

Still can't decide if I'd want us in it or not, see both advantages and disadvantages to it.

Why are people desperately looking for ways of falsely qualifying for Europe, the other day it was the fair play league. Missing out on the Thursday Cup will be a blessing in disguise.

I want Rafa to get Chelsea a top four spot, win the Europa League and FA Cup and then leave.

I don't rate the Europa League but it does seem like the players want it. Suarez for one wants it given his reaction when they went out. Plus it's a good night out watching the team.
