I'll be honest, i've never really rated Lovren - perhaps i'm too harsh on him.

Whether we get our 30m for Sakho is debatable, but i do think if we stuck Lovren on the market we'd struggle to shift him
We struggled to shift Sakho too. I'm fairly confident we'd have sold if a good offer had been forthcoming and Sakho clearly didn't really fancy any of the loan offers he was getting. Just at the end of the window we managed to get him out the door - to a team struggling badly at the foot of the table.

As I said, I think it's quite possible that if Lovren and Sakho's roles had been reversed the situation would not be hugely different - Lovren would look better elsewhere and we'd quite possibly still be looking for a new partner for Matip.

You're right, I just can't face him inevitably turning into Franco Baresi on Steroids twice a season.

Sakho to Benteke, Benteke to Sakho, Sakho with the bicycle kick into the top corner to round off his hatrick

Has this been done to death? Evidently not, if it were up to you...
Your post contained three sentences. Each one ended with a question mark. And you criticize me for commenting on it!!!!!

Isn't much though "talk", "reported", "rumoured", the safest assumption to make is we won't know how much he'll fetch until he's signed (IF he does) although usually when you see contract talks are beginning after fees are accepted they usually give a clearer picture.

I'd love to be a fly on the wall in some of the offices of the managers when they read some of these rumours, in fact I'd like someone to ask them what they make of a lot of the rumours.

I still think we need a top class centre back no matter what we do. Given a straight choice between Lovren and Sakho I'd choose Sakho every day. But I understand why that won't happen.

Sakho is as good as gone.

You don't get sent home early from pre-season, reduced from the team sheet and shipped out on loan unless you've done something wrong and ********** off Klopp & co.

As good a defender as he is - and as much as we could do with him - he's a foregone conclusion in my eyes. He's been mistreated by the club in my opinion but you can't argue with the club. 30m is a good deal considering we bought him for 17m I believe?
    Huuhmhmhmhmmm. Come at me bro.

Nah, that was all down to super migs - if you believe the (tr)hype

We kept a few clean sheets at the end of the season helped keep it half a dozen goals or so below our weak standard of the previous 3 seasons, hardly phenomenal or even close to the majority of seasons under Rafa

Mostly down to Matip and Milner has had a solid season, Mignolet was pretty good too, its just an opinion but if Sakho played alongside Matip we would conceded 5-10 less in the league.

How about the view that if Sakho was in the team we would of been even better? why could it not be seen as they other way around.

Certainly that's not a lot to do with Lovren.

Probably because he's stating the facts and not make believe.
