He is by far the best English ref at the moment along with Michael Oliver.

It's part of their new money found arrogance. It makes them feel good about themselves. I wouldn't really worry them about that lot. The thing is since United are not the one's challenging for the title this year and it is us, it makes them feel good about themselves by using abusing words about us. Overall i have realised I hate fans of every top 7 team other than of course us.

Pellegrini really shouldn't have mentioned Silva has an ankle problem, when Jon Flanagan will be his first opponent on Sunday...

I'll break into a dancing fit if we turn this lot over.

Ensures they won't overtake us even if they win their 2 games in hand.

We're 14-1-1 at home. Citeh 8-4-4 away. Definitely possible to win this.

What a home record. Wonderful to see fortress Anfield.

I was feeling quite confident about winning this, but then I realised that would make it 10 straight wins for the first time in the PL era. The fact that we've never done that before tells me that we're almost certainly not going to win.

    Yep:-

    http://www.liverweb.org.uk/season.asp?season=200506

    29/10 - 31/12, 10 wins, then a draw and another win, was a 12 game unbeaten run.

Yes apologies, you're right. I was checking the end of the season when we finished with 9 straight wins. I didn't realise we'd also done 10 in the middle of the season.

That's pretty extraordinary to have two such runs in the same season.

Were you not arguing that this kind of thinking was illogical with people who said they couldn't imagine us winning 14 in a row?

Or are you making a joke alluding to that argument?

Yeh, it was those 2 runs that made it a very good season of progress.

9 and 10 we've done before, if we beat City we're then in to the unknown pushing 11, 12, wins etc.

You expect something to give as it's football, but, with this team we could certainly break that Arsenal record and get the 14 on the spin.

Surely we've done 11 before - going back to the old 1st division?

Not sure, i think i did look back loosely when i thought we were discussing 14 straight wins, but then i got dragged in to an argument about mathematics and never followed it up..

Id almost want to there more than the title game , if it came to that.

Beating them will change our future history , imo. More so than winning the league. It feels like this is the game now , as was the olympiakos game.

I think belife is the cutting edge now.
