    Merkules - Scars

Snak the ripper - White Dynamite

    Both albums are brilliant imo.

Merkules covers of some well known songs are also worth a listen.

Isles of wonder - The opening ceremony of the 2012 London Olympics.

Still one of my favourites. Underworld are magnificent.

Greatest opening to an event the world will ever see.

Yeah, the Krankies greatest hits with the Proclaimers on bass.

To to be fair we went to the opening ceremony at Celtics ground for the last one and there was a superb version of the Proclaimers at that. But joking apart London 2012 was just incredible. The opening 30 mins of the Industrial Revolution was just mind blowing.

"Si Me Quieres Escribir" sung by the Weavers. A song about the dangers of fighting at the front during the Spanish Civil War. Fantastic banjo playing by Pete Seeger and excellent singing by Ronnie Gilbert. This is a truly moving and inspiring song.

I Can See For Miles - The Who

The Eiffel Tower and the Taj Mahal are mine to see on clear days
You thought that I would need a crystal ball to see right through the haze

Well, here's a poke at you
You're gonna choke on it too
    You're gonna lose that smile
    Beacuse all the while...

I can see for miles and miles

REM - Man on the Moon

If you believed they put a man on the moon,
    man on the moon
If you believe there's nothing up his sleeve,
    then nothing is cool

Accidentally switched on Radio 4 Extra in the car yesterday (caught the tuning knob turning a corner and didn't notice it changed from radio 5 Live) and ended up listening to a Jeeves and Wooster radio play, quite enjoyable for a big fan of the show back in the day.

Don't worry, its back on Absolute 90s again now.

Just to try and regain some semblance of cred, Tequila really does make me happy.

Space may be the final frontier
But it's made in a Hollywood basement
Cobain can you hear the spheres
Singing songs off station to station
    And Alderaan's not far away

That's definitely what the majority in the Alien thread are suffering from isn't it, they've been exposed to way too much Californication. As we all have to be fair.

Teenage daughter has just bought a record player.
We picked up a random cheap record in a charity shop (no record shops here)
She was shocked to discover that you can play both sides!

For those of you who like hardcore/post hardcore I would recommend a band called Enter Shikari... They are my favorite and I just saw them live here in the States the other night... They are a UK band from St Albans, Hertfordshire... Look them up

I'd like to make myself believe that planet earth turns slowly
It's hard to say that I'd rather stay awake when I'm asleep
'Cause everything is never as it seems

Why do I tire of counting sheep
Please take me away from here
