I thought it was a disappointing final, with Taylor showing little of his brilliant best, whereas his opponent was utterly ruthless.

Many congratulations therefore to Rob Cross for his maiden World title, he could grab a few more playing at that mercurial standard.

Very underwhelming final. The atmosphere was odd, and the way Cross was overtly deferring to Taylor (asking him to hold the trophy was pure cringe) was too much. You've just played the game of your life, enjoy the moment. Taylor has had more than enough glory, and after some of his behavior during the game he didn't deserve such charity.

Shame for Phil, love a good romantic story and woulda loved to see him lift the tin again; he's been brilliant for the sport; like Higgins for snooker he was Mr Darts at the inception when it all took off. His interviews are funny.
    dont look back in anger.

But well done rob cross, a very worthy champion. Wish we could play so ruthlessly!
On another day Taylor's average would of won more than 2 sets.... Last night it wasn't enough against Cross, who was absolutely devastating
Cross was allover Taylor like a rash, sucking the life out of him and you could see it in Taylors body language

Well done Cross an awesome display last night and worthy winner

Typical...I had no money on it!

The Premier League will certainly have a different look to it this year.
