Well if Mane goes to play their international games then will be surprised if he returns intact.

Well let’s hope I was wrong and his supposed return due to injury flare up is just PR. Pretty sure he will OK fir next game, Southampton.

Mane came back quite early from his hamstring injury to play our last game. It is not always best to come back so early even if he appears to be without pain. Sometimes the risk of re-injuring a hamstring is just not worth the early return. . There is also the fear of re-injuring himself, which has a bad psychological effect on the player, resulting in him not sprinting as fast or as often as he otherwise would. He was not at his best for our last game. Mane can be our best player if we do not try to rush him back. With the right care and some patience, he can be a top LFC stalwart for many years to come.

Not really any new injury news but just short recap and observations.

Without wanting to put the mockers on us, other than Clyne all is progressing well. One can expect knocks, such as Matip this week but given the last year or so of such a poor record of injuries we are in such a better place. Adam now up and running and maybe getting a run out this week. Mane looking stronger.
It niece appears we are better equipped to deal with any major loss of a player or two, hope we dont of course. Very impressed with the cover we have for offensive pace at the front. Salah looks like he is a tough cookie and has made such a difference.
Hope this situation stays at this level fir the rest of the season as we will have much improved chances of getting a piece of silverware along with th coveted top four, really want top three.

Cant get any solid info on Lovren, who appears to be the list, other than long term Clyne. Maybe update on Tuesdays Press con. Clyne as we know next year is target.

Few knocks but more fatigue stuff than real injuries, pretty good as we are heading into the real busy period.

Recovering as expected, back in new year, not before. So anyone’s guess but for me, it’s about February before he’s ready for first team action. Been a long lay off, they originally had expected rest would heal the problem. Unfortunately it required surgery, so I hope to see him early new year in running and mobility training.

Cannot add to this thread in anyway as information is so far lacking. Journos not asking decent and pertinent questions. Cant seem to find any decent quotes from med team. Seems like just because we have what appears to be a larger squad then injuries have gone out the window. Very frustrated as a fan to be kept so much in the dark. So far we have Clyne, earliest is Feb 2018, that’s optimistic some say. Moreno, everyone in the dark so that not looking good. Matip, not brilliant as virus effects could delay him. Sturridge , knock, no real info other than not available.
If anyone has real up to date info please post as it does give us guys some idea to who is fit for the coming busy period.

Grujic has a broken finger and is not available for selection.

Sturridge, tight hammy, no date to return. Moreno, ankle injury no date for him as well as Matip with some muscle injury. Clyne expected date of February is still being quoted. So no improvement and we have more injured players than all clubs with exception of Watford.

Why get upset/frustrated at a perceived lack of updates coming from physio?

Unless you are keeping your Fantasy League up-to-date, there's nowt you can do about it.

If you are told that NC is back tomorrow, what are you going to do with that information?

    Relax.

Hi not sure why you would consider posters on a thread like this to be frustrated or upset over injuries. I believe some fans would to be kept aware of injuries which obviously can adversely impact upon a selection process. To keep fans in tha the dark is more likely to cause some sort of frustration.

I for one do not partake in any fantasy league, and really not sure if the fans who want to keep up to date with reality are interested in any fantasy. lol.

This thread should be turned on its head.

Let's discuss the injuries we've suffered watching Liverpool.

My brain has been mashed so many times that I should have my health insurance paid for by the club.

Klopp should announce that in his next presser. It could open the floodgates though.

So what is actually wrong with Clyne by the way? What back injury keeps you out for nearly 6 months? Did he break it?

Not quite. The medical team determined that a good course of action is for him to rest, as it would be a quicker recovery. Unfortunately whatever went wrong, no one knows, surgery was required. This delay in treatment ensured his missing a greater period than if he had had the knife treatment at the start. As usual with these sort of things one can look back and say well we should of done this or that. The latest news is he will be back in the next couple of months, maybe a little earlier. But realistically one couldn’t really exoect him to be back in the starting lineup much before February. That is of course he stays on coursecwith his recovery.

More importantly we have Hendo with a probable hamstring tear. No real news as they only got back to John Lennon airport early hours of yesterday.

He hopefully will have had a scan by now and be under the medical teams care. No press conference prior to Swansea game and with holiday period now can’t exoect to get an solid info till Boxing Day fixture. Other players just had knocks and all should be available for selection is the word yesterday.

Scan yesterday showed an acute hamstring injury, grade 2 tear reported. Expected time out of 4-6 weeks. Big blow to lose him just in this period.

Wonder if we'll be in the market next week or 2 for another midfielder.

I can’t see the Hendo injury having a great deal to do with our transfer targets. It’s unfortunate but pretty sure managers realise that injuries will happen. However I reckon it may focus their minds more on midfield now that VVD will strengthen the defence. I know that many figure tha Keita will still be in Germany, but there may be a remote possibility of him arriving, however my take us Klopp wants a pre season, even the shortened WC one, before he slots in .

Appears that Salah picked up a knock. Looking doubtful fir Burnley game. Fingers crossed. Hamstring is being mentioned now but not confirmed.

He's long overdue a rest anyway, hopefully nothing serious.

For all the talk of rotation in prevention of injuries, we have more Injuries at the moment than others, in total 8. Leading the injury table.

    Well let’s hope it improves.

Yes, he is pencilled in to be back middle of February, that is of course he continues his recovery from the back surgery. The operation was a success but the healing process needed is quite long. This was one of the reasons they waited to see if rest would have sorted his back out. Unfortunately after a period of rest no improvement was forthcoming and so the only option was surgery. Whilst we have missed him it has given TAA and Joe plenty of time in the RB position. An indication of Clyne possible fitness availability will be evident when or if we add him to our CL squad.

I'm sure he will, whether he'll see much game time is another thing entirely

From Klopps press conference today, the latest update is Hendo and Alberto are expected back into team training pretty soon, may even be in contention for Citeh game. Mo and Phill should be ok for the Citeh game. No mentions of others so probably no change from recent status reports.
Seemed pretty relaxed regards availability of Phil for the Citeh game.

Last night the first team went off to Dubai for a few days warm weather training. Have no information as to Clyne travelling otherwise all but not Coutinho travelled. Looks like Phil should not be on the injury list, sorry to say, looks like transfer rumours must have some semblance of truth.

Anyway will update once I hear regards Clyne. No other injury’s reporters from derby fame but early yet as they went straight from game to airport.
