Let me just start of by saying he has been absolutely awful.....shown absolutely nothing to suggest he's a 20m player or even a 5m player.

Now after getting that out of the way...

Is he being played out of position?

I don't think he's skillful enough to play on the right and lacks the natural strength to force it to work.

I think we'd see the best out of him at the tip of a diamond or as a left forward.

Anybody watched him at Benfica and know more?

We've got an absolute steal signing him for 19.8 million, but we were lucky that this was his release clause ... In 3-4 years we will have serious problems to keep him, when Real Madrid and Barcelona come in for him ...

Raw like Alberto was last season, been injured though and looks promising.

I really hope so. At the moment he looks like a little scared kid whenever he plays.

What position would you play him?

And aside from pace what are his strengths?

    Thanks

Clearly isn't ready for this level. Needs a loan to a championship club for a year or two.
Just when you think you know the answers, I change the questions.

Balotelli a bargain too I take it? At least Markovic isn't stinking up the place as bad as Balo by starting every single game.

He is a 20-year-old player at a new club, in a new league ... It will take some time before he adapts to the club and the league, but it will happen ...

You seem to have some knoweledge of him, how fast is he? I'm not trying to be clever here but I haven't seen him run beyond any player since he arrived.

He can play the both wide attacking positions and the No.10 position ... So far he has been playing very conservative, but he has an incredible ability to beat defenders on the dribble ... Probably on the same level as Dejan Savicevic at the same age ...

I know people keep saying speed is one of his best qualities but seriously he's been out paced in every game I've watched him in a Liverpool kit so far ..and you can't say a players pace differs when in form ... His legs move at a 100mph but because his strides are so short he barely reaches what I'd call a fast paced player

I think pace is the only thing you can't dispute.

I've like to hear more about him though.

He is very fast ... Like I have said, he has been playing very safe and conservative so far, but once he overcomes the psychological barrier of being at a new club, in a new league, our fans will see some amazing moves from him ...

He's using the ball wrong mate, I've done it myself many times when I was younger.

Once his head gets down and he believes in himself that side will be fine , I gathered that much from youtube anyway....you can judge pace off of that 100%

Never was convinced, normaly a youtube video can make anyone look great but it somehow makes him look average, im not sure how thats possible but his passing and crossing certainly looks abysmal in his videos.

Dont really understand the signing at all.

Looks like he's got decent pace but thats about it.

Assaidi has pace and can beat players but is he worth 20m and will he ever pay for a top team? no.

hopefully because we have seen nothing yet except safe and conservative...i find it hard because i know so very little of him prior to his move here

coach rates him very highly, but i know next to nothing except what i ve seen in a liverpool shirt, its clear he has some class in his boots but seems to be lacking in confidence and swagger

Should, should, should. Really? You know better than Rodgers? Come on. The lad is quality he's barely played 300 minutes and part of our problem is too many faces too little cohesion so more new faces rarely fixes that. I said this summer he'll be a top player in Europe and he will and I also said it may be around Christmas or just after we see him shine.

I have no doubt he'll start a few games once Sturridge is back.

I get where your coming from but honestly even without the ball when he's running towards a ball he seemed to be out paced ... Maybe it's more being out muscled but still they are quick enough to get to him to do the out muscling :L

that first move in the brazil game was like him v city for us

seems better on the left so why are we persisting with him doqn the right when sterling is much better on the right

he looks good running at a defense through the middle too

He looks like he is really traveling but look again he's not really running any faster than the Brazillians.

i m aware of the problems but rodgers has no problem throwing can in...i hope you are right, from what i ve seen so far he gets pushed off the ball a little too easily...but yes he has been here a few months now he really ought to be showing his qualities in training at least

He's running from a standing start, he needs to take a touch.

Sometimes when you're weak brushing past a defender will mean they slow you down, a bit of weight would help him get past.....also playing on the left helps this.

Check the youtube video above, he breezes past Thiago Silva
