The fee and wage is of no issue, its whether the player can push our starting XI and if we give him more than a fickle 5 minutes he could be a good buy.

He had a weird time of it at Arsenal and he has to find his feet here, so personally I'll give him some time.

He's had practically no time yet and some fans are all annoyed
How can it not be an issue?

Why dont we give him a pay rise then in that case, pay him 500k a week, doesn't matter anyway does it, its not an issue?

I admit, IF he went to Chelsea or City for the same amount and was playing THIS poor? Sure I would be laughing at those clubs for wasting money. Why is it any different for us?

Don't be so silly, why use an extreme example to make the same point? Its daft that

So as a big club we should be prepared to pay over the odds, but not pay over the odds

I'll make a judgment when he's played enough and given real time, you've said nothing to change my feeling on that

Too late my friend, with headlines like 'He is Klopp flop and rather plop,' you can reach out to many a typical Daily Mail reader who love such wordplay

Absolutely stupid signing. You'd have been better off drawing random names from a hat.

He's played a grand total of 163 mins for us (spread over 5 games). Just a tad too soon to be labelling him anything don't you think.

I can't wait for that one game where he actually plays well and everyone then says "see i knew he would come good"

Before reverting back to type, average.

It almost sounds like you want him to fail.

I wonder did Dortmund fans behave like some on here when he brought in some of the players he turned into stars.

Yeah, 100%. I've always thought there was a player somewhere in him, and I still think Klopp is the perfect manager for him right now. It was never going to be a case of instant success and he loses all the bad habits he picked up at Arsenal as he stagnated over the years. He's been here about a month, started one game, and already he's a flop and a waste of money.

He needs to improve, obviously, but give him and Klopp time to get it right on the training pitch and I'm confident we'll see him make an impact here. Far, far too early to be writing him off already.

Liverpool fans, best in the world, eh?

In a nutshell that mate, spot on, its remarkable knee jerk judgements (which is Geordie for no joke)

Typical of some fans though, gagging for a signing then angry about signing after 90 minutes
