It is partly, like we've said no sides attack is completely flexible.

When the team have safe possession and firmino is surrounded there isn't enough out to in- you're right. Against Sevilla away we created a chance to try and extent our lead through scoring an in to out movement goal, unfortunately it was saved.

Unlucky Bobby, could have made it 2-2 from the penalty spot.

Always hit the target I would say to him. If you sky it or hit the post, there is usually no chance for a goal. Felt he tried to be a little too precise with his effort.

Could have given us the momentum to go on and win. Not to be.

He has been directly involved in 10 goals in his last 12 Premier League appearances against newly promoted teams (eight goals, two assists).

Bobby has stepped up to the next level this season ... and imo is probably our most crucial player right now.

I fear an injury to him more than I fear a Salah injury ... and I WISH we had better cover, because nobody in our squad can do what he does.

Just your standard Firmino assist yesterday - I loved Salah’s face going up to him after the goal too, he had a speechless/amazement sort of look about him.

Long may he not get the credit for everything he does. ... keep the vultures away.

Sounds like he wants to stay at Liverpool too.

Should be on higher wages now.

Something like 20 goals and 11 assists. Add to all the extra work he does on the pitch.

    What a player.

He packed £184k this weekend apparently
His base wage is £68k per week
After his 15th goal every goal is worth £85k and assists £31k

Not so bad for 70 plus minutes of work.

Still nothing compared to Sanchez and his 500k a week regardless of goals/assists...

Harry Kane may be more prolific, however who is the better allrounder and better team player? The stats speak for themselves , Roberto Firmino with 10 assists in all competitions compared to Kanes 1.

Yes Kane is the focal point of Spurs attack, we don't use a focal point. Our strength is in our front three who have provided 58 goals in all competitions. I wouldn't change Firmino for anyone at the moment. His assist for Liverpool's second on Sunday was outstanding. He grabbed an assist for the first too by being selfless as per usual.

And there is no stat to account for how his hard work off the ball benefits us.

Well I'd say these graphics illustrate it fairly well.

Brilliant. He is just so good at all that, plus a lot of top strikers would be proud of his goal scoring.

They certainly go a long way in terms of showing his contributions apart from goals/assists. There is still no way to my knowledge to quantify the way his intelligent off-the-ball movement more generally benefits the team. As we all recognize, his movement and work rate is so integral to the way we play and to our success. He is perfect for Klopp's system, and the system is perfect for him.

That's why the 'experts' got it horribly wrong when they were comparing Kane to Salah. That's way too easy. How about doing a direct comparison between Kane and Firmino? Who is more valuable to who? I reckon Firmino is more valuable to us for the aforementioned goals/assists/off the ball contributions. Kane is a focal point to that Spurs side and a focal point can be replaced.

I'm still going by what I previously said, there is nobody currently i would swap Firmino for. Firmino provides both skill and work-rate. He's more skilful and Intelligent than even some of our fans suggest. I remember one poster referring to him than nothing more than a 'Brazilian Dirk Kuyt". The same poster dismissed my suggestion that he was reminiscent of Peter Beardsley in the overall work he does.

He's pure quality and that's for sure.

There are reports to suggest Liverpool want to tie him down to a new and improved contract and to renew his £82 million exit clause (which doesn't include Arsenal).

Sounds promising although I would want his next release clause to bet set more higher, especially with the way transfer fees are going on a constant upward trajectory these days.

Exactly. At least doubled or even trebled. We should follow Barcelona's lead and sign a player for £146 million and slap a £400 million release clause. It's what they did with Coutinho.

Outstanding player, often underrated, even by our own fans.
