Every year I wager $250 for LFC to finish in top 2. Except for 1 season that has proven an insane bet to keep making...but I do and in that is my hope.

This season started and I, (along with millions of LFC fans), thought... we can do it again!!! Then 2017 happened.......what is going on?

Because of the gut wrenching losses & draws to lower placed clubs, (taking 1 point from 12), falling out of 2nd to 5th and having ManU 1 point behind with a game in hand left me pretty down in the dumps. Cup game losses were even more painful!

So, a $100 wager that LFC would finish out of top 4 was on paper a given...I'd bet insanely before why not give this a go....and so I have.

Question now is, Will we be top 4 or outside? I hope I lose the $100 as it would be absolutely wonderful if we can do it and get into top 3-4.

Millions will be able to dream again and REALLY look forward to a new chapter of consistently finishing in top 3 with a first EPL title on the cards and maybe even another CL trophy to add to the 5 within the next 36 months...

With our main rivals playing in the cup if we beat Burnley latter things will look a lot brighter and hopefully our main rivals continue in the cup giving them another league match cancelation

From the BBC:Liverpool have won 14 points from losing positions in the league this term; a joint-high with Tottenham.

Probably suggests we go behind more often than we'd want, but also suggests there's a bit more character in the team than perhaps we give credit for.

When we're on our game teams can't handle our intensity and more often than not when we are in that form we've stuck at least 3 past the opposition.

Our attack has had a good few off days this year, it's a real pity our defence didn't take the lead in some of those games and help get a result for the team, a bit like yesterday's.

I must admit that after we decided to close up shop yesterday after 80 mins and every ball we hoofed out came straight back, had me thinking wtf are ye doing..... We're going to get done here.. Again.. But fair play, there were some vital blocks, headers and tackles thrown in there towards the end. Hopefully it breaths a bit of confidence into the back line for the run in. I thought Klavan had a game of two halves, he was excellent in the second.

They do but although we have the easiest run in, still some potential banana skins if our form against the lower sides continues

Always nervous when the derby games come around LW94 but we are in form and we have home advantage so I think we'll edge it and grab all three points

has the makings for a good game, they're in good form but keep Lukaku quiet and there's nothing much to worry about.
Here's hoping he makes some more stupid transfer-related comments on International break and manages to get himself dropped from the team
