In "an absolutely terrible state" according to Wenger.
Might be true or might just be exaggerating to get Sanchez out of Chile's world cup qualifiers.

Kroenke is not known for being a sentimental man

No Champion's League and the once mighty Arsen will be toast double quick time.

I see rumours about him wanting one more season.

The very idea that Wenger is allowed to make that decision shows you a club in decline - hopefully to our benefit !

Apparently the In Arsene We Trust plane was paid by a board member. It just gets funnier every day.

I've always said that Arsene Wenger the first 6 years at the at Arsenal fresh air to football in England.

The last 14 years or so he hasn't been challenged or Arsenal been not threatened the top 4 guarantee.

Which meant that he hasn't progressed as a football has progressed and is rested on his laurels.

Arsene Wenger has made some terrible teams over 14 years.

I've got to say it's one of the worst one he assembled.

Shame that this season instead of finishing on a high he look like an old Grandad who's wondered around & should be at care home.

Wonder what his career decision will be next in needs to be a positive one as he looking very ill of late

I think Arsene will stay. Why leave now? Better to sign the contract and get fired in year's time with a nice pay-off.

If Arsene don't get top 4... he will definitely be gone. If he somehow manage to get the top 4 finish i see him getting 1 year contract.

Wenger is a football romantic. He has some story book style ending to his Arsenal career in his dreams, and he struggles to let go to them.

I believe he hopes he can leave with a young vibrant team, that plays Barcelona style football, in one of Europe's best stadiums and with a new manager of his choosing coming in to take them in to the new era.

However he needs to wake up and smell the roses. He still has some, not many, but some huge Arsene fans that remember him for the glory days. Each year that selective group is diminishing, as are his Arsenal's team's chances of winning the league. If he doesn't leave soon, he will be hounded out, leaving them out of the Champions League, losing their few star players and leaving them in a stadium that Arsenal fan's will despise because it will remind them of how times have changed since their unbeatable Highbury days.

For Liverpool this obviously all good, but part of me is still sad to see how delusional he has become.

I agree that failure to keep the goners in the top 4 will likely see him stand down. In terms of contract something tells me he could stay as long as he wants, maybe he's getting bored with "always the bridesmaid, never the bride"

Well, he's giving his answer over the next two weeks so it isn't 'top four dependant'. Let's see what happens

Sure he hasn't won the league for a while, but there's a reasonable chance that he could win 3 FA Cups in 4 years, that's not too shabby

    He might even move upstairs.

I still think he will stay, can't turn down a contract, and is there really a big push to get rid of him? A few banners, but there a lot of fans who want to keep him.

I look at it like this hired at a michelin 2 star restaurant

Wenger then inherited title winning team and then added top players go with it

Then it came out with a new cookbook with how to add new ingredients and so by building the unbeatables

Last 14 years instead of him being capable of working at one of the highest restaurants and being the one best chef in England

He should be basic greasy cook and should be working in a burger van as he lost the cooking book

Another 2 points dropped today, there seemed to be lots of tension at the emirates. I think they play West ham mid week. 3 points is vital in that game.

Arguable as to whether 2 points dropped or a point gained, but regardless looks like those wishing it to happen for the last however many seasons may finally get their way. Expect a marathon winkfest to follow as they celebrate
