    Thats a rare thing.
    He slaloms between players
Very much so. There's quick over 100m sprinting against the clock, but then there's short distance acceleration, mobility and the ability to do it with the ball at your feet...he's quick no doubt about it

Superb performance, lets see if he can do it over the course but he was stunning yesterday, for much of the game too.

Makes a mockery I have to say of a few of our more vocal hipsters who insisted blindly he was 'average and overpriced.'

I understand the fee concerns but his ability in isolation and what he can add to this team & set up more importantly is as clear as day.

Until Coutinho's free kick he was the only one trying to be positive in that first half.

Not exactly his biggest fan but he was very good yesterday.

Seems a bizarre way to look at it, especially when his pace and mobility were a huge issue for Arsenal yesterday and a massive reason for our success.

But fair enough, keep saying he isn't fast.

Saying 'that's a fact' doesn't make it one you know.

If Mane had nothing else, the one thing he'd obviously have, would be speed

He certainly has pace but he's not amongst the quickest in the league.

Not exactly hard to look quick in this Liverpool side.

...or you could do some research that shows him not even in the top 20 quickest players in the league?

Is that the list which says that Rooney and Steven Caulker is quicker than Eden Hazard?

It's the dumbest thing to use these kinds of lists to gauge a player's quickness - you've no idea of the context to which these stats were measured. This list merely says that once in a game a player reached a certain speed - it doesn't take into account a slew of factors. Was it with or without the ball? How long did they maintain that speed? Was it just running in a straight line? How many times are they hitting that speed in a season? How quickly does a player accelerate from standing? How quickly can they change direction? Who would win in a race up to say 30 or 40 metres? And on and on...

In an explosive, active sport like football, that list tells you next to nothing about a player's quickness in matches. It's practically useless.

I said Mane would be our player of the season. He's already one of my favourite players on our team. Everything from his work ethic, to his skill, to his finishing, to the way he runs. I love the lad. Instant hero status for me. And that was before his Arsenal goal.

Calm down, its one game of a long season. He had one good game, all that matters is the next one and how he performs in it. His next game might be an absolute mare.
