Mignolet to be sold still, Karius has lots of time on his side but would love to see a proper established keeper here next season for our number 1.

I did think though Karius showed in a couple of cup appearances after being dropped far more aggression and assertion in his goalkeeping, could see far more of what he's about (the Southampton games in the League Cup, tad forgotten as we bombed out but he was excellent)

Mingolet should only be sold if we can find someone world class.

I don't want to see Karius in goal again.

Me too when everyone was calling for LK.

He was actually playing ok at the time also.

    Fair play to the lad.

Excellent today, not just the save but he completely dominated his box when we needed him to at the end of the game there!

Yeah. Absolutely absurd that people were calling for Karius literally a few weeks ago, because apparently we had "nothing to lose"

It really does seem there's been noticeable improvement in his distribution. Also, I think it helps that he and Matip seem to understand who owns cleaning up in different scenarios - they share leadership at the back in a way previous pairings and Migs have not.

Whilst Hart is making a fool of himself in Italy, Mignolet is making sure we get maximum points!

So glad we didn't go for the former.

Also, he doesn't hold onto the ball for as long now, whether it's in his hands or at his feet, he's very quick to release.

I think Migs really profits from having a clear defensive leader in front of him. I don't think there are many better keepers out there who would not commas a fee of 50m or more.

A lot of people tried arguing it was all Mignolet's fault because he made Skrtel/Lovren/Sakho nervous. Put any goalkeeper behind Skrtel and Lovren and wish them luck.

He rightly deserved the stick he was getting but fair play to him for improving and making the difference. The confidence should do him the world of good. Do I think he's the one to tend the net for us moving forward, no but he'll do for the time being

Not this season. He's made less mistakes than De Gea this season.

He's had a couple good games and fair play to him…. But jeez, give it a break. He's done nothing more than you would expect from an average PL keeper.

    Straws and all that.

He's improved this season. No doubt about it.

His footwork is better, his distribution is better and his ability in the air and dealing with high balls has improved ten-fold. Plus he screams at defenders too now. His shot-stopping has never really been a problem but he seems a lot more confident now to go with it. He deserves credit this season.

So you'd expect an "average PL keeper" to make the saves he made today and last week?

And I'd expect him to catch 2 or 3 of the punches he made today.

I agree. Deserves credit for taking it up a level. Probably still need better but credit where it's due.

I'd replace him in a heartbeat for a better keeper. One season doesn't make him the 1st choice going forward.

However, I don't think JK will bring in anyone this summer so its nice to see that Migs has at least improved.

Credit to John Achterberg for the improvement in Mignolet's performances too, no?

He's a great coach. Only takes 3 seasons for his methods to work.
