Must have decided to change direction on its own then.

Most shots are savable, you just need a good keeper to save them. I want to be saving "how did he save that" about my keeper like most clubs do. It is no coincidence that last season he was statistically the worst shot stopper in the league, and this this season he's picked up were he left of is it.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sxE7bEHeojo - This was 100% savable and he should have saved it.

view from behind the goal, at 0:15 show me where the deflection was?? Ox hit it hard and low to SM near post, had a bit of a curl but nothing unstoppable and the ball literally went over his knee.

43 seconds into this video, it very clearly bobbles up off Lovren's foot.

It was a gust of wind from the stands. The deflection was as clear as day.

I can not see any deflection, and even if there was a slight brush against Lovren it certainly didn't change the flight or direction of ball. SM got it all wrong.

There was obviously a deflection. And in spite of that, I still think it was saveable. Bear's decided to not see the deflection because he thinks it aids his point. It doesn't really. Goalies aren't absolved just because a shot changed direction.

Whether you see it and whether it happened are two different things. At 42 seconds, the ball is moving on the floor. At 43 seconds, it is suddenly moving in the air. Now, the laws of physics state that things can only change direction when forces are exerted upon them. So some external force must have influenced the movement of the ball, as it changes direction from along the ground to in the air.

It was the threat of being saved that made change direction.

Initially I thought he couldn't do anything about it but his body shape and positioning at the near post wasn't good enough. Lovren was a complete joke as well. Easy block.

Watch on 49 seconds, the movement is slight and not a proper 'deflection' SM should have not been done there.

No goalie has time to react to a shot that change direction like that. I don't care if they are superman, even if bear thinks it aids his point or not his opinion on this is wrong every day of the week.

Everyone knows migs is not good enough to be our number 1 but seriously the witch hunt on here is shocking. If i was a goalie behind this team right now id come out swinging, there has been nothing migs could have done to prevent any of those goals. That is how bad the defending is.

A deflection is any interference that makes it change direction on its path towards the goal. Which is what happened. The shot was still saveable, I agree, but it was obviously deflected.

Are you seriously doubling down on this?

Yes, yes he is. He thinks that the original camera angle proves his point, when a much better placed shot from behind the goal showed the extent to which the ball was actually deflected.

Same here. I think two were saveable by a top keeper and the deflection was a reflex save we've seen him make in the past.

Chambers' header was definitely saveable. Definitely.

It doesnt only change the direction of the shot it elevates it making it even harder to track for a goalie who is getting low for the original shot. Its madness anuone blaming migs not stopping that.

He couldn't have made a reactionary save as that would have been impossible but if he wasn't so crouched in his body shape and bigger at his near post he might have been able to block it. Still lovren's fault anyway.

It was a series of poor play from a series of poor players that led to that goal. It's hard to apportion blame to any one individual.
