    Starting another one of these back up. Last week I interviewed Simon Kuper, a Dutch journalist at the Financial Times, who specialises in the economics of football. He's authored a book called Soccernomics which uses economic principles to answer some of football's biggest questions. I talked to him about the future of data analysis in the transfer market, whether your manager makes that much difference anymore, and why some clubs use stats better than others. Some very interesting comments on Liverpool too. Give it a read!

    ...But the problem is that guts are much more likely to mislead than data.
    A good read, well done MAPS.


    Though I would never underestimate guts in overcoming data.
