Yeh I stopped watching after about 15 mins because it seemed quite silly, doubt I'll ever go back and finish it.

Just finished Star Trek: Discovery and I've got to say on the whole its been a fantastic ride but the last episode was pretty much a complete let down, this is supposed to be the finale not mid-season filler. There were a couple of things to like but this was far lighter in substance then any episode we've had to date.

    Overall: 8.5/10
    Last nights episode: 3/10.

Just finished Altered Carbon, really good series but not without its flaws. Hope they bring it back for a second season (even if the ending was a bit forced) as there is still a lot to explore in the story. It must have cost a fortune to make as its visually absolutely stunning, Iím a blade runner fan so from the trailer alone I was suckered in. It was worth watching alone for Martha Higareda who played Ortega 8/10

I have just seen the Scrubs box sets have come into Sky. Brilliant series 10/10

Yeah Higareda is gorgeous. That seems to be the consistent take on here, visually it's amazing, but the actual story could have used some work. I read if it all goes well they are trying to do 5 seasons, if anyone has read the books is there enough substance to work another 4 seasons out of?

agree, the entire episode felt very rushed and light, although there was one scene I enjoyed immensely...

My bad, I don't keep a list of the slavering pervs on here.

That final scene is interesting. No kirk, obviously but Spock served on the enterprise with Pike so we might get a bit of a tie in with TOS. I wondered how they were going to fit in a ship obviously ahead of its time with the established cannon, so it might go into a bit of that next season too.

they showed with the Klingons that they aren't afraid to go change things up quite a bit, still interesting to see how much playtime the Enterprise will have in season 2 and beyond

I believe there are about 3 books based on Takeshi Kovac. The second book after Altered Carbon is based on another planet I believe rather than earth so not sure how that would work as the visuals on earth are half the appeal of the program. Still hope they Bring it back somehow

On All 4 catch up their is a section called Walter presents. It is magnificent mixture of thrillers from all over the world. Sweden, Norway, Brazil, France and such like. Subtitles are the only thing that you have to get your head around but after a while you donít even notice. Reading the great comments from the forum leads me to believe that many of you would enjoy these thrillers very much indeed.

Im going to try and list all my favorite TV shows for anyone interested, there will be some obvious ones and maybe some not so obvious that youll be able to pick up if you havnt already.

    Game Of Thrones
    The Walking Dead
    Banshee
    Man Hunt: Unabomber
    Mindhunter
    Fargo
    The Killing
The End of The ********** World
The Take (which is early Tom Hardy work and probably his best performance)
    The Frozen Dead
    Dark
    The Sinner
    All of Marvels Netflix Shows
    Stranger Things
    Happy Valley
    The Office (US)
    Master Of None
    Luther
    Power
    Doctor Foster
    Peep Show
    Ozark
    13 Reasons Why
    River
    Breaking Bad
    Fresh Meat
    The OA
    Making a Murderer
    Westworld

I would say if you enjoyed any or most of the above then youll like rest as well so give them a go, obvs some fall into different catergories, for example if you enjoyed peep show youll like fresh meat, if you liked Dark then youll like The frozen dead (both foreign speaking shows, i think both germany) if you liked any of the BBC produced shows such as Dr Foster or Luther then youll like happy valley etc.

oh and also if anyone tries telling me the US version of The Office isnt as good as the UK one then you clearly havnt watched the US version.

    Thanks

Sure, but if you liked Peep Show, then you'll more than likely be into the sort of humor that fresh meat offers and enjoy that also.

one that i forgot to mention, Fringe, brilliant show, i often describe to people as a modern day x-file that takes itself a bit more seriously than x-file did.

wouldn't have thought that a problem as the enterprise was around way before kirk. could be wrong but i believe the original commander was robert april.

they mentioned Christopher Pike as being the one in command, he was the CO immediately before Kirk.

yeah, was deeply unimpressed with how quickly and easily they ended the main arc of the entire season.
