Eh? Some of what you say has validity Mysteron, but this post is bizarre???

They are both playing well - why compare the two?

I wonder if back in 82 you would have said

    Rush already better than Dalglish
Rush has one less appearance this term but

Rush has 2 goals and a assist to Dalglish's 2 goals
Rush has 3 dribbles per game avg to Dalglish's 1

Its literally none of things which is why its funny.

You called a player for being pants, and he's not, in fact he's boss and everyone can see it.

The worst bit is your justification was that Firmno 'doesn't do enough off the ball' which is so woefully wrong and off base it's makes me wonder whether you actually watch the games.

Mane is like the star soloist while Firmno is the conductor masterfully keeping the elements in check. There's no need to compare the two in a *** for tat battle, they need each other.

That's the advantage of a player like Firmino capable of playing all attacking roles offensively and defensively.

Absolutely. Firmino pulls the strings and the rest cause destruction.

But I thought he was part of the "deadwood 40"?

Firmino is certainly not dead wood. Think Markovic, Ilori and Wisdom are in that bracket.

Imagine a Kante type player in the Henderson position, we could be awesome.

The strange thing is, we've been waiting all this time for Sturridge to be regularly fit, and now that he seems fully fit he wouldn't actually be in my starting 11

It would be Firmino, Mane and Coutinho leading the line for the most part. Great problems to have I guess.
hard to pick a starting 11 at the moment........

    the front 3 for me

    sadio--danny--bobby

    behind them

    -------hendo/emre
    ----wijna---adam/phil

if fully fit sturridge plays for me.... he adds too much to our attack not to play him. he seems to scare defenders ****less and takes them on aboriginal walkabouts all game... his interplay with bobby and sadio are worth the gate entry fee alone

its a good day when sturridge and coutinho arent guaranteed their starting position... who would have thought that 2 seasons ago , even 1 season ago... and without origi ven being mentioned

**** yeah...... if kante sat behind wijna and phil with sadio danny bobby front 3.... thats one solid goalscoring team

i wonder if adam and phil can play filling the two attacking 8 roles.... maybe at home against weaker opposition it could be tried

It took Bobby a short while to settle and he wasn't helped by Rodgers playing him out of position. Klopp has him playing in his favoured role with instructions to roam. He's done extremely well since the turn of the year.

A goal, that run he made to get into that space, and an assist. Love watching this guy play.

He was good in patches last season but I think he has really grown into the team this season. Great work ethic too.

While we should have won, we probably would not have won were it not for Firmino's contribution. Scored an ice-cool goal that was much harder than it looked, and got our winning penalty out of nothing due to sheer persistence and skill.

Yeah, he's constantly involved in goals and everything good that we do. Still not enough for some people though, weirdly.

He's a weird player. He's vital and brilliant and involved in everything and yet it's really easy (apparently) not to notice his contribution. He's so unorthodox.

He has a little Suarez about him. When he won that ball in the air and magically skipped through and got felled, it was like watching Luis.

Nowhere near the consistency or finishing of Luis but he's of that mold.

Who is this Deadwood and why is he always being moved on from his clubs. We should give him a chance.
