Madness to think, but I've not been able to find a thread specifically dedicated to Phil Coutinho.
Anyway, for the first time in as long as I can remember, Saturday's game didn't involve the 'shoot on sight' approach that we've seen in recent years, and I think it was much improved.
Playing in that play-maker role, I think he can be one of the very best in the world. Added to that, the few well-timed bursts forward and obviously choosing when to strike it from distance more smartly, his decision-making matched the 'world class' level of ability that he possesses - something that, to be fair, it hasn't been before.
Only one occasion, but hope we can see it more often.
It's the only thing stopping him from reaching that level, in my opinion.
