Disgraceful really. I get that the club want local fans there but why should my membership fee give me less right to buy tickets than somebody who possibly knows somebody with a Liverpool post code?

    So much wrong with it.
A lot worse going on. Tickets going straight to Thomas Cook so they can sell them as packages for people from overseas. All about maximising the people coming who will buy the most **** from the club shop. Doesn’t matter if the atmosphere is terrible, as long as people are spending money the owners are happy, never mind the happiness of fans who have been going for years.

If you haven’t been to any away games for the past few years you don’t have a chance to “officially” buy any. You need to have been to about 6/7 away games last season to go a game like that, to go to 6/7 away games last season, you will of had to go to about 15 away games the season before, and so on.

I know that, I mean don’t some of the away games require less away games attended last season in order to attend? Not all of them you need 19 away games to go to do you?

Tickets available still for WBA next week for fan card holders.

First ones I have managed to get as a fan card holder ... just not really sure how I get in now!!! Is the fan card my ticket or do I have to collect a paper ticket from the ticket office?

Hi, I tried getting tickets here at footballticketnet.com but I didn't really trust them, don't know why. Any opinion on this site? In the past I bought tickets for Barcelona and Madrid from https://nicebarcelona.com and that worked great but they told me they were sold out for this match. Thanks for any help!

I am from Ireland and I have been to Anfield 4 times but it has been hard to get tickets this season, my father is friends with people in my local LFC supporters and thatís where we usually get tickets from, but neither of us are members of it.

I was thinking about getting a LFC membership to get my own tickets and seen on the website that it is £40 for a full membership, is this a yearly fee or a once off? Would you recommend me getting the LFC membership or joining my local supporters group? I looked at how to buy tickets on the website and it only shows the boxes or lounges, I am presuming this is because the ticket sales are over for this season or because I am not a member.

    Any help would be appreciated.

It's a yearly fee, but if it's just tickets you're after perhaps go for the lite membership. You won't get a fancy pen/badge etc but you'll get your membership card.
This is what you use to get into the stadium once you've bought tickets.

If you want to go with a friend/family member, they will also need a membership and you will both need to link your cards through the website. (Easy enough process). This means you can buy tickets for each other, perhaps sitting near/ beside each other.

The members' sales are in July and November. When starting out you'll only be eligible for certain games, and this is usually the carnage sale. You log on very early, sit waiting for the queue to start and pray you're in a good position in the queue where the tickets are not sold out. (In, is in at this stage..take what you can get!)
When you attend a game your attendance is recorded and credited for the next season.
There are also the late sales, so if you are unsuccessful in the initial ones, you keep and eye out in the late sales. (Though coming from Ireland, this will sting you on flight costs)

If you have attended a certain number of games (7-8 in the past, more recently 4) then you will qualify for the more 'attractive' fixtures. Traditionally Everyon and Utd, but more recently they've included the 'big4-5' and the last game of the season.

The 'holy grail' is to get to the ticket guaranteed phase. This is where regulars who have 12,13,14 (it's varied every season) are guaranteed a ticket for most of the games. (Contentious as in the past the less attractive fixtures like the promoted teams were not included, so those regulars had to join the carnage sale for one ticket).

It's doable... I'm also from Ireland and started going regularly back in the 13-14 season.
I lucked out in the first 'carnage' sale, getting 3 games, then another 3 that season.
My second season I only got 4 and then nothing in the second sale.. However, my 6 games from the previous season qualified me in the late sale for Gerrard's last game.
This extra game in turn qualified me for the late sale in the Derby the season after...(I had a few others)
Then they build the new stand and suddenly my few games from the previous season meant I could go to the 'biggies' .
I got to 11 last season and this season I'm on course for 14+ (fixture changes permitting). That should guarantee me tickets next season... (Unless they change the rules, which Sod's law dictates they wil!!)
Anyway, it's taken 5 seasons, (and a friend who is a computer genius and gets tickets when I can't) but now I'm a regular......and broke!

But yes, the membership's your option, but not initially gauranteed.

Thank you very much for your help, I wouldn't be able to afford to go that often yet, would this harm me if I was only able to go 1 or 2 times a season for 2 or 3 years or would I just be able to build it up then? Or should I keep trying to get the tickets the way I am until I am able to go to more games a season?

No, you could go to 1-2 games each season.... Just the loyalty wouldn't build up in the long term (as it stands, this could change) But then each sale you'd be in the free for all queue..so no gaurantees you'd get a ticket. But then you could also chance a late sale (but of course paying more for flights). Once you're prepared for the disappointment of getting nothing, then getting anything is a bonus.
