So, the FA agrees that the red card in the West Ham match was a joke...
How about they improve the referee quality before they botch things so badly in the matches instead of after the fact?
Never confident about playing Utd at Old Trafford (except when Moyes was manager). We have 16 wins in over 80 league games. We rarely play well in those games. Houllier was the only manager who had a good record against Utd.
Having said that klopp has a good record against mourinho, so something has to give. Not many draws in this league fixture in recent times but I would take a point now, as it keeps Utd at arms length. We will really miss mane for games like this as he pushes the opposition 10 yards deeper. Origi will probably start instead.
And other times, a battle royal against the 'better' sides.
I'd love a Battle Royal, with us winning of course. But to see the best from both sides... good footy all around.
Hopefully we don't get cheated out of a player getting sent off too like the West Ham match. And we play the offside correct too against them.
They have won 6 or 7 in a row now while playing decently. We have to be cautious for this. It's also at Old Trafford so expect a difficult game there.
Because of the draw to Sunderland we HAVE to win at Old Trafford now, which isnt gonna be easy with their recent results.
We alwys do things the hard way.
7pts from our next 4 I predict. IF we can turn either the United or Chelsea result into a (W) that would be perfect!!!
Nothing to fear from United anymore.
Bring them on
They're much better now, and have steadily improved.
Besides, our fearsome front four from earlier in the season has been decimated ... If Phil / Sturridge aren't fit for this, I can see Utd REALLY going for it.
This season has reached the MOMENT, where we will either fall back into the pack, or stride forward.
I have a feeling losing Mane will be tougher than we can imagine.
And they hardly blew Middlesbrough away the game before either.
Comparing our performance so far compared to theirs, I dont think we have anything to fear from them.
IF we were to lose this its likely we would drop to at least 4th possibly 5th place in the table and be only 2 points ahead of 6th placed Utd. The top is now getting very compressed - which of course means it could all change again very quickly afterwards.
We desperately need Hendo, Phil and Matip available for this - in fact we need them all for the Saints game next Wednesday. Where are they at in their recovery?
I've got real concerns about us missing Mané's pace. Not just this game, the whole month.
I'm sure Klopp has something up his sleeve mind.
maybe calling them a long ball merchants is rather over the top, but your a very rigid team and thats the way Mourinho likes it,
Your best player is Marcus Rashford (a top player) and my guess is that Mourinho drop him to the bench again , and will go with the system he adopts .
Utds days as one of the great entertainers in English football is long, and you the fan are just happy with what you got
due to the shambolic styles of Moyes and LVG previously .
Beggers cant be choosers.
