Ideally I'd like a playmaking/defensive hybird in that position but maybe that isn't what Klopp is looking for in which case Hendo is fulfilling the role well enough.

"We win in spite of Henderson"

Henderson gets injured and we haven't won since. That's a happy coincidence.

Not sure it's even worth discussing anymore. He's been integral to everything good we do.

We missed him but nowhere near as much as Mane tonight. (Point in case: Burnley)

Anyone who dares tell me that Can is better than him is a moron.

:FP: He would have only added an additional 30 passes which would have also led to nothing... Mane was the big miss don't fool yourself

So you don't think it's a happy coincidence?

Just find it funny how we manage to beat teams when he adds to little yet when he's not around we seem to be struggling. Weird that one, just can't figure it out.

Southampton broke on us quite a few times today and they ran straight through the middle of our team.

Henderson has stopped those counters countless times this season and we miss his ability to get about the pitch for sure. Whilst he is guilty of playing it too safe at times, Jordan is always looking to move the ball quickly too. His ability to switch play (accurately) with a long diagonal is something we've also lost from the team. The amount of tackles we lost today was ridiculous and at times our players weren't even in a position to make them.

I think we also learned that Lucas and Can are far too slow to play in a midfield together.

Henderson and Matip are big players and the real leaders in our team. Losing Mane is huge too of course, as we've lost that pace up top.

I think he is missed. Not necessarily from a creative side, but certainly from an energy side.

Yeah. In a few games prior to his injury Henderson was actually being a bit more dynamic with his passing though, in my opinion. As I said in my last post, he was hitting those diagonals with accuracy and using his range a bit more.

At the start of the season he seemed to be refraining from attempting them, which I think he was instructed to do.

If there is a criticism I have of Henderson its that he's safe when he doesn't have to be. Maybe its instruction, maybe sometimes its just confidence. That being said, he's been very good this season and when he hasn't been very good, he's been solid.

Can we just accept we really miss him? We've looked lost in midfield since losing him.

Badly missed. The energy and running has been completely ripped out of the side.

Not the kind of player that stands out. But the kind that helps glue the others together.

I never thought i'd say this but Hendo has made a massive improvement this season he seems to be that anchor in the midfield defensively and attacking and you can see we are a bit lost without him, just my opinion though , we are missing mane and matip as well which weakens our defensive and attacking capabilities.

I'd love Hendo to be back but we've never lost a game with Mane on the pitch. He came off vs Bournemouth at 3-1 and we saw what happened. He's been our most important player.

Yeah, we miss his pace and unpredictability. Sadio brings a different threat to the attack, that's for sure.

Hopefully the return of Coutinho will improve us, but I'm not sure what to do with Mane's spot on the right of the front three.

Yeah, he adds that dynamism to the side, which is sorely missing with Lucas and Can in there.

Lucas should not play in midfield again personally and especially not with Emre. Ponderous.

    Agree with this.

The guy has been immense tactically and technically. Amazed at how quickly he has adapted.

Huge miss at such a crucial time of the season and we have no one else like him in the squad. Not even close.

Yep we are missing Henderson, minority of bitter posters aside, he's clearly a miss to the team.

I'm also a little worried about Can at the moment, playing really quite poorly, hoping he can find form soon

Since Henderson has joined Liverpool, our win ratio drastically dips when he isn't in the team. You can put that down to coincidence, but it is what it is.
