Ryan Sessegnon, 16 year old left back. He's made 17 appearances for Fulham this season, including against Hull in the FA Cup in a 4-1 win in which he scored and assisted a goal.

Apparently we made an enquiry in January but Spurs and Man City are also interested. Fulham are expected to sell him at the end of the season. They've put a 15m price tag on him.

I really hope we don't pass up on this like we did on two other boyhood Liverpool fans Dele Alli and Patrick Roberts.

    Article from Squawka on him

If we sign him I hope he goes back on loan to Fulham rather than rot in the waste of time U23 league.

He already sounds better than Alberto Moreno.

On a serious note, he is meant to be a real talent so I hope we do manage to land him and perhaps loan him back to Fulham for a season or two to sweeten the deal, perhaps.

Kolasinac is worth 15m. So it wouldn't even be bad if we, for example, got Kolasinac on a free, and then paid the 15m for Sessegnon.

We'd definitely be able to negotiate it down anyway.

I'm not sure Fulham would have him back on loan. He's only playing now to get him experience and boost his profile ahead of a potential sale. Once they've sold him they can go and buy a more experienced left back.

I'd have no problems sticking him in the U23s for a season, then giving him cup games and sub appearances here and there, a bit like Trent this season.

He's also capable of playing on the wing although I don't know how well he can play there. But his record (4 goals, 2 assists in 16 games) points to good things.

    Absolutely fine with that scenario.

    Although 15m for a 16-year-old sounds extortionate.

Did you work on the Andy Carroll deal?

Yeah but it's not often you get a 16 year old regularly playing in the Championship! Not even a bad team at that, Fulham are 10th.

I'd expect quite a chunk of that 15m to be in add-ons

Who's Andy Carroll? Don't remember having a player called that here at this club.

Take it you've never complained about us missing out on Alli then?

If we had Alli we'd still be struggling

Well perhaps we'd have had an additional 25m to spend on the side.

That having Alli meant we probably wouldn't have signed Wijnaldum in the summer, instead putting that 25m into other area of the pitch.

I doubt that. We're not the smartest with money.

I actually thought he supports Arsenal. If the FSG plan is to buy promising young talent and develop them and try to become successful this way, then we can't miss out on signings like this. No more Dele Alli repeats please.

I'd rahter concentrate on making the likes of Trent, Ejaria and Ojo make it and spend money, all the money, on the first team.

We'll sign him, loan him, play him, and he'll not turn out to be anything special and then we'll try to sell him, fail, and then loan him, till his contract runs out and he ends up back at Fulham when its in League 2.
