Each game now a cup final.

We will get top four, but boy it's going to be close.

If you told me we'd get 3 wins against the top 6, and 4 draws and not get top four I'd say you were crazy. If we don't get top four this season we won't forgive ourselves, so there is no room feeling sorry for ourselves.

I think we can cling onto fourth, if we hit form again, if not we will be fifth or sixth, and even then it would be an improvement on last year.

3 wins on the bounce and the world looks a better place again.

The trouble is I just don't see where our next win comes from at the moment. I think we need a bit of luck to get 3 points and hopefully the confidence will come back then.

Well we have to give it a go now and get back on track, if we can be in the hunt with seven games left, that will leave us with 21 points to play for and all those games we can win down the home straight, its at that business end we have to be strong so we have every chance.

But form has to improve significantly and quickly obviously

We are more than capable of doing it but our form at the moment is just beyond **** and the players look like they can't be arsed

Aye the confidence looks shot, This is is the business end of the season now, the bit where Klopp has to earn his money.

Is anyone one buying this 'fatigue' argument? The whole pressing game being used to blame some lackadaisical performances?

    Because I'm not.

didn't you know players don't get mentally or physically tired over a season?

Players are supposed to be levels fitter these days than those of previous eras... yet I watched sides in the 50s and 60s play harder football on crap pitches, week in week out over longer seasons.... smaller squads, too. Heavier boots, heavier footballs. No mollycoddling. They just got stuck in.

Yes, obviously. But the numbers don't support such an argument in this instance.

Our workrate has not dropped off, it's just the fluidity and confidence that looks missing

I also don't buy it, and this is their profession which they are paid A **** LOAD of money to do.

They are all meant to be super fit. Yes they did play a lot of games in January but Klopp did rotate so there are no excuses.

The fact of the matter is we have become so predictable over the last month and teams know EXACTLY how to beat/frustrate us, not only in attack but in defense.

They know that they can sit back and not worry too much because of our lack of quality and are confident hitting us on the break coz our defense is so DIRE!

I'm with you mate. An old duffer harping back to the halcyon days of yesteryear. Jumpers for goal posts, 10 pints and a kebab the night before a game.......etc

One thing that certainly needs to change is Can needs to be dropped in an instant! He is shocking at the moment and can't play alongside Henderson (it's never worked)

    Back to

    Lallana Henderson Wijnaldum
    Mane Firmino Coutinho

AND they ALL need to pull finger, apart from Mane who was the only decent player against Hull.

And there is talk of fatigue....give me a break. I have ZERO sympathy for them! Get on with it, you get paid more a month than some people earn in their entire lives, so shut up and put some *********** effort it!

sure you go and play football for liverpool for 70k a week dave and i'll say diddums

one of klopp's ambitions when he came to liverpool is he said, we want to go to the best teams in europe and give them hell. at least this teaches the players the standard they have to be at to begin to do that, despite the lack of squad depth.

yes I know I just can't believe you'd dismiss fatigue, by comparing us to other teams, whom get more results efficiently and haven't had to play as many big games as us this season

No as many big games? How so? We've had no European Football?

I'm not dismissing it completely, I am just surmising...I just can't get my head around why that specifically should be the cause of such a monumental collapse in performance. Especially, because, if anything, the distances covered by our players have gone up

If you think it is then great pal, no worries at all.
