The fume over a knock is absolutely hilarious. What is the point of risking him for a preseason game? None.

The fume is that the guy is in the prime of his physical life and he made a jog and a grandma dink and instantly pulled something.

He is the English equivalent of Marco Reus.

Yes, because he trained in the morning and then played a game in the evening.
    Whatever.

I don't think it's worth getting worked up about. Sturridge is now clearly second choice. The club aren't reliant on him as they have been in the past.
Sturrdge went to the states to strengthen his back and hips (the main cause of his injuries). He has a minor strain. That's all.
If people are going to have a moan then have at. From my point of view, I'm glad he is working hard to eradicate his serious injures because I know that at certain point of the season the game will be tight and the pace of Salah and Manč are going to be next to useless and in those instances the likes of Sturridge (who can fashion a chance out of absolutely nothing with zero room to maneuver in may be the difference between 1 point or 3 or a point when a loss is on the cards. But if people want to moan that it's the same old same old then have at it.

    I'm not all that fussed.

He's not going to start ahead of Firmino, and he's not going to remain fit enough to be relied upon. It's beyond the point of discussion. In additional to that, we're no going to sell him because who is going to want to purchase him? And it's not as if his presence in the squad is holding us back from signing another striker because Klopp doesnt want to invest in strikers.

Sturridge turned down a deal to join China at the beginning of the window.

    That's hardly surprising, is it?

There's no realistic way he was going to move to China.

Preciously and that is the point Sturridge was "positive" with his interview and he knows he is good shape. OK he wont play tonight but he wont be the only one, so really no fuss to be honest. Whether some people like it or not, he is staying and that all that matters and he will play too.
