    It's a risk worth taking imo with Daniel. Any player can get injured at any time.

    I can see both sides of the argument though and understand why some people have had enough of him.
    But Daniel gets injured more often than others, there is actual evidence of that.

    I think Daniel has to stay, we have seen how special he can be when on form and fit.

    "He's always injured" I hear you say, "cant rely on him"

    Just a little food for thought, his sickness record is not much worse than our very own Stevie G's was back 2010-2012.
    And he certainly had a few more years left in him.
    Having watched him against Sydney I'd have him back in a flash for cup games against the lower league sides. (Sorry, thats only the heart talking.... I still havn't accepted his retirement lol)

    We've been having this conversation since Suarez left. Back then it was can we rely on Sturridge for a full season without Luis. The answer has been no now for three seasons. He has to be replaced.

    True of course but I stand by my point. Not beyond the realms of possibility he can get fit for a while.

    We would be stupid to sell Daniel this window. Let's wait till next year to determine his future, he could have an injury free season, no one can tell.

    This.

    I can't believe people are still thinking any different. It's a no brainer. He's made of glass, simply as. 150k a week would be better spent on a high class youngster.

    I'm not saying Daniel has to be our number 1 and only striker, We need a much bigger squad.
    We need to buy another world class striker, probably two if im being honest.......AND
    We need to keep Daniel Sturridge, we need to try and get him fit.

    The time when Klopp says " enough's enough" must be very close. He's definitely our best striker, but just doesn't seem to stay fit for long. The only hope is that he is considered a risk by decent teams and so won't have any decent buyers.

    We will have 70 games, even if he plays 10 important ones he's worth keeping

    He's had a poor season on the whole, but the good (if that's the word) thing with Sturridge is he generally doesn't take long to get into his stride after being injured. He can miss a few games, but then be thrown straight into the starting line-up and be one of the best players on the pitch. So even if we only get a handful of games out of him over the course of the season, we know we'll be seeing his quality and if he gets a chance he'll be hitting the net.

    Having said that, I'd still try to generate some interest in him, and accept any half decent bid that comes in. But if he's still here on September 1st, I don't think it'd be the worst thing in the world.

    @BanderLFC
    @BSmith do you think Liverpool have a real chance to sign Keita & Van Dijk and what you think about Sturridge's future?

    Ben Smith
    @BSmith
    #LFC strongly believe they have a genuine chance with both. That confidence is based on noises from players' camps. Suspect DS will leave.

    I think he'll probably ask to move as well.

    So do I, but I think Klopp's patience must be close to breaking point.

    Sturridge is a wonderful player when he is on the pitch.

    If you had to sell one of Origi or Sturridge, who would you choose?

    I'd probably sell Origi.

    Not such an easy decision, at this moment would prefer to keep both, it's a Kop out I know but both need to give us one more season I feel. Daniel, fitness, Origi massive improvement both are capable so let's get defence and mids sorted with what cash we have. Not worried about an out and out striker this window.

    I can't believe there are still think people Sturridge on 120k should be kept because this time he might stay fit .I guess his two premier goals are worth 720 000 each.
