I think AA has a real promising future.

He has played 9 times for the first team this season, which is not bad for someone who turned 18 in October.

Next season he will remain as back up to Clyne, but I expect AA to get 15-20 first team games next season.

Then in the 18/19 season, he be a genuine challenger for a first team place.

I like that he's direct going forward, his crossing ability is very good.

As abysmal as Matip who failed the offside trap to give the goal for Burnley?
Da fck is wrong with you? Klavan has been nothing but solid as a defender. How can you be so blindeyed when Matip has obvious bad games?!

I thought he had a decent game .....Klopp would have had Lucas on if Klavan was really that bad as you seem to suggest

Yes. The Citee is not the same one we faced earlier in the season. They seem to have settled down and they are playing as a team. I know we have a good record against top teams but this will not be easier given our shaky defense and Citee's form at the moment. We have to be at our best like we played against Spurs to counter Citee.

    -------------Migs----------

    Clyne----Matip----Lovren-----Milner

    ----Lallana---Can---Winj-------------

    Mane-------Origi--------Coutinho

Subs: Karius, Sturridge, Lucas, Moreno, Woodburn, Firmino

I think Firmino will come on in the second half .

Would not change Klavan for Lovren.

Because City pace and athletic strength, i would go with

    ----------------------------Karius-------------
    Clyne-----------Matip---------Klavan-------Moreno----
    ---------------------------Wijnaldum-----
    -----------------Lallana---------------Ejaria-------
    Arnold-------------------Origi--------------------Mane-----

Subs: Mignolet, Lovren, Gomez, Milner, Can, Coutino, Firmino

I get what you were saying but he was "tactically bad". He didn't go for the stuff he was "supposed" to be his responsibility. In the second half he covered the left channel after he realised that.

i would not keep klavan in v agueros quick feet

just saying . aguero is not so pacy but he is brain quick. the first yards are in his head. lucas has shown he can function against this because his own positional sense is very good.

if lovren isnt fit then i d go with lucas at cb. klavan has a slow turning circle.

i understand moreno at left back for width and pace v sterling. still rather milner.

not sure why ejaria is in? or arnold is right wing? youth energy for the battle for the first hour

and if firmino and coutinho are fit they play.

this is a sort of revitalised city.

their attack is settled looking now and its very very strong.

    1-1 draw for me

But Klavan has been very good against good sides, so no problems if he starts this one.

You call Lucas a tortoise but you would use him against Sane and Aguero , he would get turned inside out by Agueros quick feet and end up giving away penalties

Cluthcing at straws by making an entire game 20 minutes, everyone was **** the first 20 vs Burnley, but he was solid on the whole and did a good job like that key block he made. Also an excellent match against Arsenal and against City.

I can see that you have no football awareness. The dm has to be supporting cb's or you have other ideas for dm's?

So far this year dm's have been less useful in defence. For me, the team has lost its edge on regaining the ball on opposition's half of the pitch to start a quick attack and/or composure on attacks - very inconsistent midfield and attack.

If you do not score goals and fail to defend from the midfield to CBs - that is how you lose your games. Does not matter if you have Lovren or Klavan on the pitch.

I can see that Matip and Klavan are the solid pairing in the back. Alternatively I would put Milner at the moment where Henderson plays and put Klavan as LB and Lovren pairing in the CB with Matip.

Can and Lucas are really bad.

City have pace out wide, it's fire 100% now and they are destroying teams for fun down the wings.

So to counter attack that we need to load are wide areas with pace.

Secondly City have in their base of their central midfield pace athletic and aggression

Ejaria add mole energy pace aggression to help us win the battle of Central midfield

Pretty sure Ejaria is out for the season, he's definitely injured at the moment.

    ----------------Mignolet
    Clyne------Matip------Klavan------Moreno
    ------------Milner------Emre
    ----Mané------Wijnaldum------Coutinho
    -------------------Origi

Subs: Karius, Alexander-Arnold, Lovren, Stewart, Lallana, Woodburn, Wilson

I think Milner needs to be playing in Henderson's position whilst he's injured, which means Moreno at left back. Tempted to drop Coutinho because of his poor form but he's scored more goals against City than any other team (5). Lallana's form has also stagnated so I'd have Wijnaldum in a more advanced role where hopefully he'll continue scoring.

I'm assuming Sturridge and Firmino won't be fit for this one.
