    So, big game this Sunday!

Our record is obviously very impressive against our closest rivals, but City have looked very dangerous of late and I can see this one going to the wire.

I'm worried about Sane and Sterling tearing our full backs apart. But then again, City's defence isn't exactly impenetrable!

Henderson is ruled out, which is a blow. But hopefully Firmino and Lovren are able to come back into the starting XI.

    Team:

Mignolet, Clyne, Matip, Lovren, Milner, Can, Wijnaldum, Lallana, Coutinho, Firmino, Mane

    Subs:

Karius, Alexander-Arnold, Klavan, Lucas, Woodburn, Wilson, Origi

4-1 to city. Can't see us getting anything out of this one. We'll be depending on other teams around us to drop points for that coveted 4th place spot.

Nerves are starting to kick in a bit now. Huge game for us. If we win, I'm confident we'll get top 4.

Based on the fact that our record against the top teams is bound to end sometime, and I think city will have too much firepower for us, and us not enough.

City have looked decidedly shaky this season, potentially have a worse GK/CB situation than us and will play open football, playing into our hands. I'm not saying its a definite Liverpool win, but none of the facts and recent form/history point to a City pasting.
    I'm the normal one.

Lovren is playing for the U23's tonight so should be good for City.

    We will spank them.

Guardiola thinks they should always play out from the back and if they do, with our high press we'll run amok.

I'm kind of worried only because our record against top 6 clubs isn't going to last forever, and Sterling, Sane and Aguero have been on fire recently. I think this'll be the most difficult big game of the season.

    Way to kill the thread!

Only joking, I understand your pessimism.

Still, Klopp knows how to get the best out of his players in these type of games, so I do have some hope. Also, City have a huge midweek game against Monaco, which might take something out of their side (hopefully).

I think it'll there will be a few goals in this one. I'm going for 2-2.

Easy win. We will beat them & Everton then lose to Bournemouth.

Man city have started to click now.

They still have weakness in defence but their attacking 5 are ridiculous.

Aguero Sane Sterling Debryne Silva are a brilliant front 5

You have to be confident really considering we seem to raise our game for the big boys

Wonder if Pep goes with Cabellero or calamity Bravo?

If it's the latter, we only need to have shots on target.

This will be Man City's 6th match in 14 days. Some food for thought

38 shots on goal, hit the bar 5 times, miss a pen and read all about how we shoulda played like we did against Burnley in the post match thread

Bobby being back will be very important if we want to get a result here.

To be honest I'd take a point and move on if offered it now.

A win of course would be massive but not losing wouldn't be too bad.

This is a very tough game whatever our record so far against the big boys.

Worried about Sterling and Sane. If we play as poorly as we did yesterday we'll get battered as they've found their feet. Saying that we have to be confident considering our record vs the big boys.

I can't wait for Milner and Clyne to deal with Sterling and Sane.

They'll be playing in a exhausting tie in Monaco on Wednesday, it could be close also if Monaco get an early goal so we should be physically more prepared than City.

Missing Henderson is a blow.... but having Firmino back is key. Their midfield whilst offensively looks great defensively it looks weak. They could also stick with Fernandinho on the left back role and Yaya in the middle which will suit us. And Kolorov is not a centre back.

2-1 to us. It would be a huge win considering we would go third.

And how you came up with 4-1 KOPGIRL is just ridiculous. Great confidence in the side Our fit first 11 are very good. It's just squad depth we insanely lack.

Lets get this straight.... they are not Messi and Ronaldo they are two potentially great players.

Let me ask you a question.. would you prefer to have Sterling and Sane or Mane and Coutinho?

    We do.

Though they do seem to be improving, which is a concern. Especially with their quality out wide.
