Sorry but as an adult you can't just suddenly decide to support a football club, it has to be from a very early age, where is the extreme passion going to come from?

If you are an adult, support your local team. A child getting in to football by himself will obviously support the team that reaches out to him as he cant go to games himself. But for you there is no harm supporting a team in the top league either. Southport and liverpool.

However if you are deciding to 'choose' a team in the top leagues, rather than just choosing the team that wins eg city and chelsea, i think it would be better to read up on all the teams and their history and pick the one you feel more connected to.

I follow a team in scotland, germany, italy, spain and even some smaller leagues than that! My children ended up following the same teams as me as thats their connection. I am their connection to that team.

Agreed. If you value your health and sanity then stay well away.

On the other hand, if you have balls of steel and up for a emotionally draining, heart thumping, mind altering roller coaster ride from week to week - climb aboard the LFC hype train! Choo choooo

You sound like you just want a team to follow not support, there is a massive difference. It's upto you to choose not us to convince, your heart will guide you but most here have supported from a young age and did not need convincing or really know why. It's love not an easy lay

As you know supporting any team in Sport , define logic you don't know why you're passionately attracted to that sport or that team it just feels right.

When I was a kid I didn't know anything about football how to play the game or anything.

When I watched quite a few black and white videos from 60's of Liverpool,

I fell in love with them don't know why just felt the right way to play football and just couldn't describe why hadvis crazy crush on Liverpool Football Club.

I've never lived in Liverpool as I've moved quite a lot as a child and adult around England so had no with association with the club

When I started to learn the history of Liverpool Football Club as I got older it wasn't the fact that they were one of the biggest successful teams in England.

It was the roots of the club as it was ties it had with the poor and the working class and a family felling Club.

You associate that whenever you see a Liverpool fan wearing a Liverpool shirt that you are part of the family.

Now I've been supporting Liverpool for 30 plus years

since the rebranding from the First Division to the Premier League

We as club for 27 years have had a lot of down periods and a lot of trouble brink of being dissolved as a club.

There has been high points as well in that period like we won

Big ears for the 5 time ( the nickname record the Champions League Cup which is a European competition)

Because we've decline as a club for past 27 years, a lot of fans are angry and frustrated with so much problems we've had hence why sometimes on here a lot of fans get hot headed they're getting so frustrated repeated mistakes over and over

Liverpool Football Club is a special Club is a club for the people , players, managers

    You'll Never Walk Alone

When you walk through a storm hold your head up high and don't be afraid of the dark at end of the storm there's a golden Sky and the sweet silver song of a lark walk on through the wind walk on through the rain through your dreams be tossed and blown walk on walk on with hope in your heart and you'll never walk alone you'll Never Walk Alone

That song where we one of the first teams to sing it.

    the 1960 version became anthem

If you need convincing by others, I doubt your heart will ever really be in it.

Watch a game, sing the athem, feel the spirit and if that don't get you to decide then stick to the odd shaped ball game, v8's and stick stroking....I'm sure they will miss you a lot more than we will.

But welcome....we take a few prisoners here but you don't qualify....yet.

A latest scoreline in Scotland : East Fife five so far Forfar four.

You should support a team that can be involved in a comical scoreline such as that.

My advice - admire Liverpool from afar, Liverpool supporters are born, not made.

If you have to ask whether you should become a Liverpool supporter, you really shouldn't bother.

So I've registered on here to see how Liverpool supporters will tempt me to change. The challenge is on and it's over to you.
If you live in Southport support Southport they are skint and would love extra fans

Looking at the National league table they could do with the support.

Can't be much fun being a Coventry supporter, not that there aren't plenty of better choices than his choice to change to
