Such an over rated player IMO, a lot like Benteke....can't really produce against the bigger sides, just my opinion.

I wonder who'd be in for him. No question he's an effective goalscorer, but does he have the all round game to fit into a top club? What top team plays with a striker anything like him?

Chelsea, a bit, but I'd say Costa's a much better footballer - I'd be surprised if they'd rather have Lukaku, and if they have to replace him I doubt Lukaku would be first choice.

Arsenal wouldn't want him, or City, or Spurs, or us - maybe United? Top foreign teams? Again, I'm struggling to find a fit.

    Direct swap: Rooney for Lukaku.

Possibly. I guess it resolves two difficult situations in a way. Although I'm not sure how much Rooney would want to be part of a deal that sees him as the makeweight - it would be something like Rooney plus 50m.

Rooney's 300k/week wage gives him two very different options when leaving United - go to China and earn double, or stay in a relevant league and earn less than half. Tricky. Especially if you think you're on the decline anyway.

Talented player,if he had the mentality of say Suarez,he would be a nightmarish striker to deal with.
His upper body strength is unmatched in the league but may be he doesn't realize that part himself to begin with.

And yeah, even after so many years...he still hasn't polished off his rough edges(his ball control is poor),could
have gone to replace Drogba but he has underachieved and may be he'll remain that way barring a flash in the pan, here and there.

May be should go to Italy, slow tempo would be to his advantage.

He played 15 games for Chelsea at the age of 18-19, and his first season they had Torres, Sturridge and Drogba

I'd hope players might be judged on a bit more than 15 games when aged so young
People will believe what they want to believe

Don't think he'd score as many goals at a bigger club as he does at Everton, if he leaves I think it will be abroad.

Why in gods name would we want to buy Lukaku, Andy Carroll and Benteke spring to mind, he's not the kind of striker we need for the way we play.

Truer words have rarely been spoken. I'm certainly not going to say he's not quality but it'd be another Benteke situation where we're paying way too much for option B off the bench.

He'd fit into Chelsea (if Costa goes) or Man Utd (long-term replacement for Ibrahimovic if they didn't get Giezzmann). Atletico might also want him if they sold Griezzmann. Can't see him in Bayern or Barca set-up. PSG might be a possibility but it is not as prestigious. Real Madrid might be in for him as well if they want to replace the aging Benzema.

only ones i could think of that might suit.

although dortmund might sell aubameyang... still don t see them going after him somehow.

i dont think he s good enough for the top echelon sides. and this season atletico have fallen behind a bit in la liga. thats why i suggested them

I think he would fit into a good team just fine myself, he can still improve as well, its unfair to judge him on his time at the plastics, they never really gave him a run in the side as I can remember.
