I know its easy to stenotype Arsenal, Chelsea, United fans as being one thing or the other. But City fans are just weird. Particularly when you see them in this country where you just know they jumped on that wagon 2/3 years ago.

Its funny, against Burnley Can was getting blamed for not shifting over quickly enough to stop that first cross that lead to their goal last week and I argued that from where the cross came from, it was hard to blame Can for closing that out. So it's hard for me to be get overly harsh on Milner, event though his angle area was different.

But that's 2 weeks in a row now that we have gotten done by almost similar type balls across both CBs and while I excused Klavan last week because the cross was just too perfect, a world class CB doesn't allow Aguero to score that goal, one way or the other. Klavan's limitations with his athleticism gets exposed in those situations and this is an area we have to address this summer.

not agree, mate, brilliant penalty taker yeah, but he's been more than that,

he's been a very qualitative right winger in the past, not only a work horse,

a very versatile footballer being at the moment,

his percussions down City right side have become an hallmark during Mr Mancini City guidance,

the light blues were surely ungrateful to not have more reward toward him and extend his contract with them as he would have wanted,

but their blunder has become our luck, 'cause

now we have an indomitable warrior, maybe not pacey enough to cope with the Sterlings, the De Bruynes of the situation but either a player

who always gives all himself for the LFC cause, always focused in the game, and poised to put the body on the line if needed,

maybe someone might deem him just a makeshift grafter, but what a grafter he is!

    LONG LIVE MILLY!

between brackets, today Aguero goal has not been his fault in a missed closure on De Bruyne delivery,

I don't feel to blame him for that situation, I think it's been all credit to give the belgian right winger of the citizens, stop,

at most, we could blame Ragnar Klavan for a lack of readiness on closing Aguero in the box, stop,

We gave them the wings, so we can remain compact. That was the game plan just like in the home game.

When the delivery is so good, nothing you can do.

    Well read.

Millner had a great game, and has been a great consistent player for us. Love his attitude.

If we sign a new LB, which I hope we do, I can see Milner player a role off the bench similar to Lucas this season, in LB, RB, Midfield.

I think his problem come his lack of energy, towrds the 2nd half of season and last 30 minutes in game- so givenn that- trying to hold on to a win, Milner would be a great option for the last 20 minutes given his workrate and intelligence.

He reminds me a bit of McCallister in that you think, what might have been if we had signed him 7 years earlier.

Considering he's not a left back and isn't blessed with great pace, he has dealt with some serious pacey wingers this season, and more often than not, come off better.

Great player to have in the squad for next season

    Yeah good player.

He has taken some unfair criticism from fans on here.

They should hold their heads in shame.

    His work ethic is good.

Unbelievable record, if he completes his career with that record he may be the only premier league player to have ever done it

yeah, next season, likely with a new left back grafted as a regular, Millie will be going to be our jack for all trades,

a bit ala Lucas this campaign,

Millie has no more the pace of a time back, but for the way he has dealt with the Sterlings, the De Bruynes, the Moses' throughout the current campaign,

he deserves any our reward and credit and surely he merits to be still here at the club within the foreseeable future,

yet again congratulations Millie for anything you are achieving and anything you are giving to our holy Red shirt so far this term,

You'll Never Walk Alone James Milner

We need to start thinking about the testimonial and perhaps retiring his number.

Deffo weird and fickle. I looked at lots of empty sky blue plastic seats with 5 mins to go. 5 mins to go in a match like that, a match that was so exciting and dramatic that you should have been bolted into it.

    WTF.

It's the same WTF for Gooners fans who protest and kick-off about a manager who has taken them to place they don't deserve to be or even understand until you have truly fallen out of qualifying for the CL the elite for near enough a generation.

Gooner fan maxim: 'Why can't we spend as much as Chelsea and City? Cos of that old codger Wenger.'

****in' sad and selfishly depressing that. Who's gonna come in and deal with fans like that if/when Wenger goes?

I don't think Milner will play as much next season so one thing the club do need to look at is who takes penaltys because you've seen from the champions league recently how important it is to have someone who can score them regularly and Milner has proved that this season.

agree, I think Millie is alleged to be no more our penalty taker next season,

nonetheless I think Phil Coutinho has all the prerequisites to become our next penalty kicker, provided that being him still at the club next campaign,

I don't think I've seen Phil take a good penalty.

Can is confident but he's missed for us as well. Lallana I think would have all the tools to do it but again he's missed for us before also.

Remember when we had Gerrard, Kuyt and Alonso for pens. Spoilt for choice.

agree, mate, we have no more such accountable options in our ranks actually, bar James Milner,

but I think wee Phil Coutinho could work out as the most reliable after Millie, unless it won't come in someone from the next transfer campaign to give us more reliability in that sense,

Best penalty taker I can ever remember at the club, if I continue to block Balotelli from my memory. I am a big pessimist during games so I will always be nervous that we'll miss but with him it just seems completely unlikely.

The thing with James Milner is he never turns in a bad performance. Very reliable and never injured. I really like him . You need half a dozen players like him in the team. Dunga used to call them water carriers of which he said he was one himself

Celebrating mediocrity. As far as I'm concerned, if he isn't upgraded in the summer then our recruiting policy is flawed.

Funnily enough I reckon he's also our best right back and would be better on the right than on the left.

He shouldn't be in the team, on the right, left or centre. He simply doesn't have the pace to play as a fullback or the creativity to play in the middle.
Oh, and he is also on a fortune.

Not sure about that. He cant seem to hit the ball well enough when close to goal. Outside the area he is deadly.
